"Wasn't surprised" — Love is Blind: Germany fans react to Pascal and Shella's breakup

Love is Blind: Germany aired episodes 5-8 this week on January 10, 2025. The first episode of the batch saw the engaged couples continue their honeymoon before stepping into the next phase of the experiment. However, for some, their journeys and relationships came to an end. Tolga and Shila, and Pascal and Shella were the two couples who parted ways while on their honeymoon.

Pascal told Shella he didn't feel the same way about her that he did in the pods, and despite her being how he pictured she would be, he didn't have strong enough feelings to get married.

Fans of the Netflix social experiment commented on the couple's breakup online, while some blamed Pascal, others were unsurprised by his decision. One person wrote on X:

"As in for Pascal and Shella, I wasn’t surprised he wanted to end it. This man gave you the signs but didn’t take the hint. She’s stunning but forcing yourself on a guy who is not ready to commit … please turn your brain!"

"He was always very evasive with her. This was no surprise. She is a beautiful girl, but if we can smell her desperation through the tv screen then of course he could smell it through the wall. She set herself up to get used and discarded," a fan commented.

Pascal and Shella part ways in Love is Blind: Germany episode 5

In Love is Blind: Germany episode 5, titled, Decidedly Undecided, Pascal and Shella spoke about their relationship. The female cast member asked him how he felt and told him that she liked him and believed they complemented each other.

"I agree, but there's still a big difference between getting on well and having a fun time or whether it's actually heading towards a serious relationship," Pascal said.

He further told the Love is Blind: Germany female participant that he couldn't give her "more" emotionally and stated he didn't have the feelings that would be required to develop a long term relationship.

Shella commented on Pascal's thoughts in a confessional and said that she tried her best to make it work with him. The two hugged and parted ways, bringing their journey on the social experiment to an end.

Fans of the reality show commented on the breakup online and were unsurprised that Pascal broke up with Shella.
