Alexia and Todd Nepola tied the knot in December 2021, but their relationship faced challenges almost immediately, many of which Alexia attributes to her involvement with The Real Housewives of Miami.
The constant filming, public scrutiny, and heightened drama put a significant strain on their relationship.
“He’s not such a fan of the show. He doesn’t like the show,”
she revealed, adding that the reality series placed “a lot of pressure” on their marriage.
“It’s hard to do these shows on your own if your husband doesn’t support it,”
Alexia admitted, emphasizing the difficulties of maintaining a marriage under the spotlight of reality TV. The estranged couple's issues culminated in Todd filing for divorce after two years of marriage, a decision that left Alexia “shocked and heartbroken.”
In her Instagram Story response to the filing, Alexia wrote,
“I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage. I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time.”
Despite the official separation, Alexia later revealed that she and Todd have continued to spend time together, even rekindling their physical relationship. She admitted:
“I don’t want to have any anger, but I understand that anger is also one of the grieving stations … oh, stages.”
The pair was also spotted vacationing together twice over the summer, further fueling speculation about a possible reconciliation.
The future of Alexia and Todd’s relationship
Despite the challenges, Alexia has not ruled out the possibility of stepping away from The Real Housewives of Miami to save her marriage. “I love Todd,” she reiterated, suggesting that leaving the show might be an option if it meant repairing their relationship.
However, as of now, her focus remains on navigating their complex dynamic while managing her responsibilities as a reality TV star.
