Josh Hall is trying to prevent his estranged wife, Christina Hall, from selling the Leipes Fork home in Tennessee, where he's been living, as the HGTV star listed the house for sale last week. The Christina on the Coast star shared in her Instagram Stories on October 3, Thursday, that she had listed the property for $4.5 million.

She reportedly bought the home in February 2021 before she and her estranged husband even met and is its sole owner. The reality TV star previously told People in 2023 that she and Josh wanted to retire at the country getaway. When Christina and Josh split, the former reportedly allowed her ex to stay in the Leipes Fork home as long as it was not being rented out.

Josh Hall reportedly still lives there and on a document filed on October 9, he requests the court to block or postpone the sale of the residence. He claims that while his ex-wife is the home's sole owner, he was an "appreciation interest" because of the mortgage payment contributions during their marriage.

Christina and Josh Hall wed in 2022, but the latter filed for divorce from the HGTV star in July 2024, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. Josh Hall is a licensed realtor based in Austin, where he moved from California in 2017. He's also the brother of Stacie Adams from The Hills and Jessica Hall, who was a former Playboy model and the host for MTV's Burned reality series.

Christina Hall and Josh Hall's back-to-back filing in regards to her selling her Tennessee home

The former couple is currently in a back-to-back filing as they settle the subject of Christina Hall selling her Tennessee house where Josh Hall currently lives. In his October 9 filing, he cited the temporary agreement made in September that allows him to live in the residence when no one is renting it. The doctor notes that he stayed with family members when the house was in use. He also claims that his "living expenses will undoubtedly increase" if the sale of the house goes through.

Christina Hall responded to her ex-husband's filing the next day with her own filing, stating that she had given him "proper and timely notice" about listing the house. She also claims that her ex's main residence is with his mother and only uses the Tennessee residence as his "vacation property."

The HGTV star previously alluded to her ex making shady financial moves the day she told him that she wanted to split. After Josh Hall filed for divorce in July, the Christina on the Coast star filed an ex parte alleging that her ex contacted her property manager to change the bank account receiving the rental payments from her properties. Christina Hall claimed that he changed it to his personal account, further alleging:

"The day [July 8] I communicated to Josh that I would be filing for dissolution, Josh contacted my professional property manager via test and stated, 'Hi. For June payments, can we please get it sent to a different account when it's time? Thank you.'"

Christina Hall added that in June of that year, her ex "was able to diver over $35,000 of my separate rental income to his account." Meanwhile, Josh alleged at the time that the money was for expenses, claiming that he handled all the bills on the properties. Their September legal agreement noted that Josh would return the sum.
