Former The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah is expected to be released from prison on November 3, 2026, following her latest reduced sentence. The new release date is confirmed from the Bureau of Prisons inmates database, per multiple outlets, including Deadline and Page Six.

The update marks the third time the incarcerated former reality TV star's sentence has been reduced, which means she will reunite and celebrate Thanksgiving next year with her family. Shah is currently serving time at Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas, after she pleaded guilty to wire fraud in 2022.

While the reality TV star initially pleaded not guilty, she later changed her narrative and admitted her crimes in court. When she was asked what she was guilty of at the time, she replied:

"Wire fraud. Offering services with little to no value. We used interstate telephones and emails. I knew many of the purchasers were over the age of 55. I am so sorry."

The case involved a decade-long nationwide telemarketing scheme, scamming people, including many senior citizens, out of their money, which Jen Shah admitted in court that she knew was "wrong and illegal."

She was given a 6.5-year sentence in January 2023, which she started serving the following month. However, months later, in March of that same year, Jen Shah's sentence was reduced by a year.

In October 2024, Shah became closer to being free after her prison sentence was reduced for a second time, by eight months.

Jen Shah has worked on herself since going behind bars for telemarketing fraud

Jen Sha's trouble with the law was featured on Bravo's hit The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, including the moment she was notified about the police looking for her. Authorities arrived while she was filming for the show, per Deadline, but she reportedly left and surrendered to the police later that day.

However, before she went to serve her prison sentence in February 2023, the reality star took to her Instagram account to say that she was surrendering.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, which Deadline quoted on February 18, 2023, Shah said:

"I am surrendering to serve a sentence in a federal prison today. It is the price I must pay for the bad decisions I made. People got hurt because of my decisions. While incarcerated, I will work to make amends and reconcile with the victims of my crime."

Since going to prison, Jen Shah has reportedly made the best of her time. Page Six reported in June 2023 that she had completed her anger management course while behind bars. She told the outlet via her representative about the "journaling, homework, audio lessons, and the two-hour weekly group sessions/class," she had to deal with anger.

In November 2023, Page Six also reported about the RHOSLC alum influencing fellow incarcerated ladies, including Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes, to tone their bodies with her fitness classes called "Shah-mazing abs." She was reportedly running workout classes and giving makeup tutorials in jail.

Her longtime manager, Chris Giovanni, told the outlet at the time that Jen Shah had since spent her time betting herself and others in prison. Besides taking care of her figure and losing "a good amount of weight," she was also reading self-help and motivational books and sometimes helping other inmates try to get their GED.
