Sister Wives aired episode 12, Put Your House in Order, on Sunday, December 1, 2024. In one episode segment, Kody traveled to Las Vegas for a boys' trip with his brothers. While in Las Vegas, Kody visited his old home where he used to live with his four wives before moving to Flagstaff, Arizona. He recalled the past and reminisced about their memories of the property.

From the recommitment celebration to the family mission statement, the Las Vegas home witnessed many significant events for Kody and his family. He claimed it was where his family life was the most successful. The Sister Wives star remembered his time in Las Vegas as one of the happier periods of his life.

While revisiting the past, Kody also reflected on his relationships with his ex-wives. He detailed how his relationships crumbled after moving out of Las Vegas. Since his efforts to reconcile with his former wives went unacknowledged, he decided to move on and focus on being with Robyn, his sole wife.

Kody believed that his family was meant to break apart. He added that he was happy with his monogamous relationship with Robyn, stressing his unwillingness to marry again or have a life similar to the one he led in Las Vegas. Sister Wives fans took to X to comment on Kody's reminiscing. They blamed him for tearing his family apart by moving to Flagstaff.

"If Kody had an amazing experience and felt safe in Vegas. Why did they move?" a fan wrote.
"Who was it that insisted the family move out of Las Vegas? Hmmm. Who could that have been?" another fan commented.
"Kody was so happy and his family was at its best living in the Vegas cul da sac, yet he was so damn persistent to uproot everyone’s life and get out of there as soon as possible," a netizen tweeted.

Many Sister Wives fans held Kody responsible for his family's current condition.

"Why is Kody crying about leaving the cul de sac when it was his idea to leave Las Vegas and split up his family in Flagstaff," a user reacted.
"I was wondering how long it would take Kody to realize the dumbest thing he ever did was leave the perfect set up they had in Las Vegas to fulfill his need to keep moving where he thinks the grass is greener," a person commented.
"Kody, aren’t you the reason everyone left Las Vegas?" another fan wrote.
"I don’t go here usually but why is the ramen head acting like the city of Las Vegas chased him and his family out with pitchforks and torches? Didn’t Sobyn WANT to move so he dragged everyone else with them?" one user posted.

Other Sister Wives fans expressed a similar sentiment.

"kody is revising the history of living in vegas. for the longest time kody couldn’t get out of vegas fast enough. literally uprooting everyone, because of his and robyn’s selfishness," a person reacted.
"Vegas was where he did polygamy the best, so of course he moved the family to Flagstaff," another netizen commented.

"I loved this place" — Sister Wives star Kody comments on his life in Las Vegas

In the latest episode of Sister Wives, Kody visited his Las Vegas property with his brothers. While recalling the past, he mentioned that he was the closest to living his "dream" of a happy plural marriage there. He stated that his and his family's lives were the most "beautiful" in that place.

"At least as beautiful as my experience ever had it and I tend to remember the best parts of things so I loved this place," the Sister Wives star added.

Kody revealed that he had visited the property once the previous year and started "weeping" out of nostalgia or some feeling of loss. He explained that in his memory of Las Vegas, he still lived with his four wives and their children.

When his brothers asked if there was room for reconciliation with his former wives, Kody replied no. He revealed that Janelle deemed herself free from him and was uninterested in rekindling any bond. The Sister Wives star added that he was not unhappy with Janelle's decision because he felt liberated in his marriage to Robyn.

Kody believed that the monogamous lifestyle was "right" for him and Robyn because it kept them away from the "energy" of Janelle and Christine, who he claimed always tried to detach from him.

"So, my family breaks up and I'm going maybe this is the way it was always supposed to be and that's hard to say when you got all the children and all the experiences and all the memories but yet I don't know what else to do besides say this is what's happening so this is where we're at," Kody said.

The Sister Wives star implied that the growing tension between Robyn and his other wives was one of the reasons his family was torn apart. He realized that polygamy had deprived him of emotional intimacy and caused disagreements. As a result, he declared that he never wanted to marry again.

Sister Wives airs at 10 pm ET every Sunday exclusively on TLC.
