"Will never be happy!" — Love After Lockup fans criticize Melissa for asking Louie to prioritize her over work

Love After Lockup season 5 aired a new episode on Friday, October 25, 2024. It saw Melissa argue with her partner, Louie, about his job as a personal trainer. She was unhappy with the fitness videos he posted online and complained she was not his priority.

In Friday's episode titled Red Flags & White Dresses, Melissa revealed that she felt frustrated because Louie put his work above her. She did not appreciate not being paid attention to. Louie's female clientele also bothered her because she suspected their intentions with her partner.

Melissa believed work gained importance in Louie's life as quickly as she lost it. The feeling of being her partner's second choice infuriated her. However, Love After Lockup fans criticized Melissa for complaining about Louie's busy schedule. They felt she should have been more understanding of his routine since he was working multiple jobs to fend for her.

In the latest episode, Melissa came across one of those videos and was unimpressed by the content. While speaking to the cameras, the Love After Lockup star admitted she was not "cool" with Louie posting videos and training women.

Melissa believed she could spend quality time with Louie once he moved to New Jersey. However, Louie failed to meet her expectations since he got preoccupied with work, making Melissa feel "second best" to his profession. She complained about his inattentive behavior, which frustrated her and made her feel dissatisfied.

Later, Melissa got upset with Louie when the latter brought pizza for dinner. She claimed they could afford something "better than pizza" since they worked multiple jobs. The Love After Lockup star stated they could not have a romantic life because all of Louie's time was consumed by work.

When Melissa complained about Louie's female customers, he explained they were only trying to buy his supplements and that she had nothing to worry about. Louie left the conversation mid-way to attend a business call, infuriating Melissa. She threw a towel at him and he threw the pizza in retaliation.
