Former member of the pop group The Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger, opened up about her plans to have children during an interview with The Times. Nicole, who is engaged to former Scottish rugby union player Thom Evans, was speaking to the publication in an interview published on Thursday, June 27, 2024. She said that she hopes to become a mom "someday soon."

Nicole Scherzinger candidly said that she would "love to have kids" with Evans, whom she has been engaged to since June 2023. However, the Sunset Boulevard star noted that her schedule may come in the way of that.

"I want to have a baby, but work calls," Nicole stated

She also added that she felt like "the clock is ticking" and having a baby was something she wanted to make a priority given her busy schedule.

"[But] I'm going to have to make time, because, yes, I cannot wait to have children," Scherzinger added.

When asked if her mother had been pushing the former Pussycat Doll singer for some grandkids, she noted that she's felt no pressure from her mom. Nicole Scherzinger said that her mother knew how hard Nicole worked and understood her passion for her profession. She added that her mother was a "faithful woman" who "just knows everything is in God's timing."

While Scherzinger and Evans didn't confirm their relationship early on, the X Factor judge had shared their engagement on social media.

Nicole Scherzinger also opened up to The Times about her professional life, especially her Pussycat Dolls era. While she was proud of her band's success, she stated that it wasn't easy being the group's frontwoman.

"I'm really proud of the music that the Dolls made, and I'm very proud of the little mark that we made with our group. But it was very difficult because I was really learning about myself along the way," the singer added.

Nicole Scherzinger attributed most of the hardships of that time to the "grueling schedule" they had to endure. She added that it was a "difficult time" as they were "struggling and battling" their own demons and issues while being on the road, claiming that they were "never allowed sleep" on their schedule.

Her memory of that time was so bad that Scherzinger called it a "recipe for disaster" and that it was the kind of schedule that couldn't exist in the woke community now. The former Masked Singer judge was openly against the grueling schedule she and her band previously had.

That being said, Nicole Scherzinger doesn't seem to be slowing down in her career, even now. She is gearing up for her return to the West End with Andrew Lloyd Webber's new production, Sunset Boulevard, where she will star as Norma Desmond in its Broadway revival.
