The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 10 was released on December 8 and was titled Love in the Fast Lane. It featured conversations about love and relationships, with Stacey and TJ discussing their relationship, Mia and Gordon discussing theirs, and Gizelle and Ashley trying to find a new love.

When Gordon, Mia's estranged husband was over at her house, Mia decided to tell her kids that their parents wouldn't be together forever. Mia and Gordon separated in June 2023 and made their split official in September of the same year but her kids weren't equipped with the information yet and that was because Mia wanted to keep their innocence.

After her split with Gordon, Mia linked up with Inc., who her children knew. So when Mia revealed to them that she and their dad wouldn't stay together, her daughter said she didn't approve of her marrying Inc.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac came to X to call Mia out on her choice to tell her kids the crucial information on camera. Some of them thought it should've been a private conversation, while others said this wasn't something to get a storyline out of.

"I feel so bad for Gordon and these kids. The way Mia handled and created this situation is the worst way to possibly go about it," said one fan.

"Mia is so nasty for forcing her children to have this type of conversation on television," another fan said.
"You like to preserve their innocence but you’re on national TV all over your boyfriend while still married? Not to mention discussing that your husband may not be your son’s father. Mia, you’re batsh$t crazy and need help!" added another.
"This is an uncomfortable conversation and one that needed to be had with a counselor. Neither Mia nor Gordon are equipped to have this conversation and I’m over it," wrote one.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac also called Mia out for making a storyline out of her kids' emotions.

"Again I feel sorry for Mia’s children. Bringing up their paternity on the show for a storyline is vile," an X user wrote.
"Mia is terrible. She is using Gordon, his mental illness, and her kids for a storyline! She is a raggedy guttersnipe!" wrote another.
"Again I feel sorry for Mia’s children. Bringing up their paternity on the show for a storyline is vile," commented one.
"Mia’s scenes make me cringe so bad!! Please free these kids from their mom making them a storyline between Gordon and Inc PLEASE," another wrote.

After Mia's daughter, Juju refused to accept her relationship with "Mr. Inc" and said, "You get what you get," Mia just accepted what she had to say and didn't argue.

She took to a The Real Housewives of Potomac confessional instead and said that a seven-year-old saying that made it a powerful statement. However, she added that she also spent 15 years of her life with Gordon so she knew better and said that Juju would get it as she grew older.

After the kids left the room on The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gordon said they needed to have another detailed conversation with them, while Mia said that she also needed to protect their innocence.

Gordon clarified that they needed to talk to them so that when they get married they don't repeat the same mistakes their parents did. Mia said she wanted to teach them to stand up for themselves and leave when situations didn't favor them.

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 are out on Sundays, at 8 pm ET, on Bravo.
