The latest episode showcased a variety of singers, including some from the country and pop genres. While many artists failed to impress the coaches, one stood out and wowed them enough to make all four coaches press their buttons.

Singer-songwriter DREION mesmerized the coaches and the audience with his searing falsetto and out-of-the-box rendition of Earth, Wind & Fire's Shining Star. His funky performance got the coaches and everyone inside the studio on their feet. Fans of The Voice took to X to react to the singer's memorable act.

Fans of The Voice were pleased DREION picked Snoop Dogg as his coach. Meanwhile, one netizen commented on how Gwen tried to persuade his decision.

DREION picked Snoop Dogg as his coach on The Voice

DREION sang Earth, Wind & Fire's track Shining Star, making all four chairs turn. After his performance ended, he revealed that he had previously opened onstage for the band. A resident of Omaha, Nebraska, DREION mesmerized the coaches with his vocal and dance skills. Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani tried to entice him with "shiny things," pointing at their bejeweled shoes and other accessories.

"Take the I-O-N off, and that's Dre and Snoop!" Snoop Dogg said.

The rapper tried to convince DREION by explaining how well they would pair if he chose him as his coach, referring to one of hip-hop's most iconic duos, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. He showed off his necklace, challenging Gwen. Meanwhile, Gwen left her seat and strutted across the stage to flaunt her shiny shoes.

"Look at my shoes!" Gwen pleaded.

The Voice coach requested DREION to consider choosing her by pointing at her holographically designed shoes. The singer admitted the coaches had given him "a really hard decision." However, after much deliberation, he chose to be on Team Snoop Dogg.

Besides his awe-inspiring vocal abilities, DREION's confidence and stage presence attracted the coaches the most. Coach and country legend Reba McEntire complimented the contestant, saying she loved his singing.

"It's so powerful. I had to turn around and see what you looked like - and I loved your dance moves!" Reba added.

Gwen confessed that it was rare to find a perfromer who could sing and "have a stage-like aura" as DREION did. Having been in the music industry for decades, The Voice coach admitted it took years for an artist to perfect their confidence on stage. Consequently, she was impressed that DREION could pull it off in the early phases of his career.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
