Love After Lockup season 5 returned with a brand-new episode on Friday, September 20, 2024. It featured the convicted cast members accommodating to life outside bars, hoping to start a new chapter with their partners. However, not everyone succeeded in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

In the latest episode, Joey and Kim argued about the former's ex-girlfriend. Kim got furious when she discovered that Joey had been in contact with his ex for quite a while. When she confronted him about it, he refused to explain himself, driving away in her car instead.

In a previous episode, the couple discussed their finances as Joey used Kim's card to spend $1700 on car rims without her permission. Given the recent developments, Love After Lockup fans urged Kim to end her relationship with Joey. They took to X to criticize Joey's rash behavior and encourage Kim to call it quits with him.

The Love After Lockup star informed Joey that she got a friend request from his ex-girlfriend earlier that day. Wondering why she tried to contact her, Kim said:

"I don't like her at all."

She then asked Joey if he got her friend request. Joey answered in the affirmative and said it was not "that big a deal." Curious to know why he hid the news from her, Kim countered him saying, "It's a big deal to me." When Kim asked how she got his number, Joey revealed a friend gave it to her.

Joey even downloaded an app to talk to his ex "discreetly." Frustrated by Kim's questions, Joey replied:

"Sure did. Trying to get the b**ch back."

After going through Joey's phone, Kim realized he had been talking to his former partner for quite some time, informing her about everything he did in a day. Soon, Joey stormed out of the house, unable to tolerate Kim's questions.
