“You’re dumb”- Love After Lockup fans criticize Kimberly for enabling Joey’s drug use

Season 5 of Love After Lockup released its episode 49 on November 29, 2024. Titled High Risk Lies, the episode saw Justine and Michael finding out troubling information about her pregnancy and their unborn baby. The episode also saw Melissa get suspicious about her wedding ring and Joey's drug test coming back positive for cocaine.

When Kimberly heard about Joey's test, she was shocked while Joey kept trying to convince her that the test was flawed. However, she refused to believe him and wanted him to take another drug test. When Joey took a second test, it came back negative for everything, but Kimberly didn't believe that he was clean and thought that he had skewed the results. She was upset with him and told him she didn't know if she could trust him.

Love After Lockup fans took to X to react to the situation. They criticized her for not being stern with Joey or leaving him, while others called her out for buying Joey's lies.

Some fans of Love After Lockup asked Kimberly to break up with Joey as others pointed out that he wasn't safe for her kids. Meanwhile, some even called her "an enabler." Some Love After Lockup fans agreed with Kimberly that Joey had skewed his test the second time around but called her out for supposedly knowing what he was up to.

"Kimberly is 100% an enabler. She knows damn well he was smoking weed, and lord knows what else," another fan said.

What happened with Joey and Kimberly on Love After Lockup season 5 episode 49?

Joey tested positive for cocaine in his first test but his second test came negative.

In her Love After Lockup confessional, Kimberly said that she wanted the truth from Joey and wondered why she didn't see the energy if he was taking cocaine. She then asked Joey about his positive test and he claimed that the test was faulty and that it happened all the time.

He offered to take another test and in a confessional, Kimberly said that if Joey tested positive this time around as well, she would leave him. She didn't believe him the first time when he kept reassuring her saying he hadn't done any drugs.

Joey said she watched him pee in the cup, so there was no foul play. The cast member added that he wasn't selling drugs nor was he doing them.

In a Love After Lockup confessional, Kimberly said she couldn't take the mental stress and told Joey that she didn't know if she could ever trust him again.
