Big Brother season 26 has entered its final weeks following the conclusion of week 7 on September 5, with Joseph's elimination. The remaining nine houseguests have now become the jury for the final decision.
After his elimination, Joseph was interviewed by Taylor Hale, the winner of Big Brother season 24, on Entertainment Tonight. When asked if he thought he stood a chance at winning if he was up against Tucker in the final two, he said yes.
Explaining his reasoning, he said that was because Tucker had rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, particularly with his treatment of Quinn. He also added that Tucker offended Chelsie by making "some" comments and speculated that Angela and Leah would have voted for him over Tucker, which would have secured him a win.
Fans of Big Brother are reacting to this comment by Joseph, wondering which comments from Tucker offended Chelsie. Many have pointed out that the live feeds were cut multiple times, which meant something brewed in the Big Brother house that they didn't know of. Others were guessing what could've possibly offended Chelsie.
Most of them were just criticizing the "no context" nature of it and calling out the producers for cutting live feeds. One fan on X wrote:
"A couple weeks ago. This is why the feed cuts are so outrageous. We are provided no context on these things."
Several others expressed their opinions on X.
"This is why unfiltered feeds are important because vague comments like this leave room for lots of speculation and allegations against people which may not always be true and could be damaging. Hoping they provide more context to this soon," another said.
"Ok but did Taylor ask what was said? Like why post this clip of the interview with no context. This will make people spiral," an X user commented.
"If it’s not important to explain it, then don’t say it at all. Being super vague in your statement doesn’t help the situation and only add gasoline to the fire," a fan wrote.
Many Big Brother fans thought Joseph was still trying to shade Tucker by insinuating that he made comments other houseguests didn't like, while in reality, he didn't.
"The fake Tucker hate train continues. joseph, take your L and keep it moving!" a comment said.
"Nothing about this maligns Tucker and for people to run with a “ism” accusation, which is so heavy, is why Big Brother notoriously has the most toxic fanbase. Mind you, Joseph was the man who said his game resembles Dr. Will’s," another person wrote.
"As self-professed superfan, Joseph should know that making such a vague accusation like this will drive the fandom crazy, and will likely have some people in the fan attacking Tucker based on this statement," wrote another X user.
"Joseph leaving this type of comment when it concerns a white cis man and a black woman with no context is not really fair," a fan said.
What else did Big Brother star Joseph say in his interview with Taylor Hale?
When Joseph was asked if he thought he would win against Tucker in the finals, he said he definitely would because Tucker did something in the house that the houseguests didn't approve of.
He said Angela would've voted for Joseph to win because they had a "nice relationship" and added that he didn't treat Quinn in a "super nice" way so even Quinn would vote for him.
When he said that Tucker rubbed Chelsie in the wrong way, Taylor asked him to elaborate on the same. He said:
"There were some comments he made about Chelsie that she was personally very offended by."
Fans remain puzzled by this comment, as they didn't see the rift between her and Tucker anywhere in the show, including the live feeds, which made for a reason for them to believe Joseph was purposely keeping things ambiguous.
