Premiered on October 10, 2024, Love is Blind: Habibi is a unique spin-off of the popular reality show Love is Blind, set in the Middle East. The show is based on the same idea of single contestants making connections without seeing each other in person. Instead, they have conversations from separate pods. In the seventh episode of Love is Blind: Habibi, one of the couples, namely Chafic and Dounia, visit the former's grandparents in Lebanon to seek their approval and advice on their budding relationship. During the visit, Chafic's grandfather offers the couple a key piece of advice, saying:
"No one should interfere in this matter. It's all about harmony and respect."

Chafic tells Dounia that this is the first time he has ever brought someone to meet his grandparents. The conversation quickly turns to marriage, with Chafic explaining that his family, particularly his mother, has been urging him to settle down.
Chafic mentions that one thing his grandparents will appreciate about Dounia is her close relationship with her mother, a value highly regarded in their culture. His grandfather believes in the importance of leaving key relationship decisions to the couple while emphasizing the values of harmony and mutual respect in marriage.

"Listen to me, son. When you respect her, it makes her respect you. And when you respect her mother, she will respect yours. It seems that she is educated in one manner. I wish you luck, my child."
