“Not what I expected” — Garret reacts to Kevin’s invite in The Circle in episode 4

The Circle season 7 is now streaming on Netflix. The season will be unfolded in batches every Wednesday till September 25, 2024. The first batch of four episodes was dropped on Netflix on September 11, 2024. The show witnessed its first blocking, some new alliances, and social media strategies. In episode 4, Savannah, playing herself, was blocked by the influencers, Kevin and Gianna.

After Savannah left, the players got to see video footage of her as a newsfeed, in which she warned the players to choose and trust their alliances wisely. The players assembled in the group chat, and players were pointing fingers at Kevin. However, Andy (Heather) stood with Kevin as he chose to save Andy over Savannah. Andy invited Kevin to the private chat and thanked him.

In the same episode of The Circle, Kevin took the opportunity to invite Garret to their band and strengthen their alliance with him. Kevin invited Garret for a group chat, which made Garret curious about Kevin's move. Garret joined the group chat but contemplated:

"Kevin I am not gonna lie, this is not what I expected."

Garret joined the band with Andy and Kevin in The Circle episode 4

Garret Caillouet was all pumped up to form new alliances in episode 4 of The Circle so that he could climb up the rating list and not hit the bottom. Garret was cautiously planning his game strategy, especially after they all witnessed the first blocking of the game. Garret was soon invited by Gianna (Nicky and Jojo) and Rachel (Deb) for a group chat, where Gianna came up with a game plan to include one man in their girls' alliance to have maximum votes on their side.

Garret was happy being in alliance with Gianna and Rachel and also called out Kevin for showing his true colors in the group chat earlier in the episode. But soon, Garret got the invite from Kevin to join them in a group chat. Garret wrapped his conversation with Gianna and Rachel abruptly and joined Kevin and Andy in the group chat.

Garret joined the group chat in episode 4 of The Circle, and although he was terrified and clueless about what would happen in that group chat, he wanted to explore all his options.

He greeted Andy and Kevin with enthusiasm and texted:

"What's up, Kevin and Andy?! I am always ready to #Rock."

Garret wanted Andy and Kevin to believe that he was on their side, so he played along with Kevin's strategy. He thanked them for inviting him into the band and mentioned that he appreciated being included in the band. He was also impressed by Andy as he did his research on Garret.

Garret seemed to be torn between the two alliances that he made. The one with Rachel and Gianna, and the other with Kevin and Andy. He contemplated that he might decide on a side to pick in the future, as he acknowledged, he was being indecisive about which way to go. He said:

"I am obsessed with this. I am torn. I have got Gianna and Rachel in one hand. I have got Kevin and Andy on the other. I feel like I am sitting on a fence, and maybe I can sit on that fence a little bit longer. Maybe I can wait till the last minute before I choose sides."

The next batch of episodes of The Circle season 7 will be released on Wednesday, September 18. The upcoming episodes would reveal how far Garret will go by sitting on the fence, and he would choose as his alliance in this 'ultimate game of social media and influencers'.
