Netflix released Love is Blind: Argentina debut season's second batch of episodes, from 5 to 8, on November 13, 2024. In the first batch of episodes, fans saw how the couples developed their initial connection in the pods without seeing one another. By episode 4, the contestants got engaged and headed to Tulum for a romantic getaway.
During their time in Mexico, each contestant got to know their partner better as they faced challenges in their relationship. A few contestants doubted their connection, while others reflected on how their bond changed since their time in the pods. One of the couples on Love is Blind: Argentina, Santiago, and Emily indulged in an argument after Santiago got upset at Emily hugging Tom.
Emily explained that it was just a friendly hug, the two started to argue when Santiago stood up and left. He told the cameras that he didn't want to argue, he continued during his confessional interview:

During Love is Blind: Argentina episode 5, Emily and Santiago talked things out after their argument. When Santiago got up and left to avoid conflict, she asked him to join her and lay down with her in bed. She said:
"I don't want to go to sleep like this. Will you come with me? I'm going to lie down. I need it, I swear I do. Hey, come on, I just want to lie down."
Santiago went back to the room and admitted his mistake about getting "upset over little things." He shared that sometimes he overreacted "about stupid stuff," he further explained:
"You're right. I get upset over little things because I'm an idiot who's hopelessly in love, you know? And I get upset over little things because when you're in love, you overreact about stupid stuff. And I'm, sorry but I love you. what am I supposed to do about it?'
Then, the Love is Blind: Argentina star Emily said in her confessional interview that she and Santiago were still in the process of getting to know each other better. However, the "non-negotiable" factor was her partner expressing jealousy. She elaborated on why she couldn't stand "another jealous fit" and added:
