Love is Blind season 7 was an emotional yet memorable experience for the participating cast members who signed up for this social experiment. One of the contestants who left the show heartbroken was Leo, who thought he had found the love of his life. During his time, Leo was entangled in a love triangle with Hannah and Brittany.

In the end, he got engaged to Brittany, but their unresolved issues led to the producers not selecting them amongst the final couples. In an exclusive interview with Tudum on October 3, 2024, Leo shared that his connection with Brittany wasn't based on trauma bonding, he said:

“We had a lot of similar things happen to us, being only children and our moms both dying of cancer. But we also were super intentional about not trauma-bonding. We’ve had a bunch of sad stuff happen to us, but that’s not going to be [our] foundation.”

Love is Blind season 7 contestant Leo shares his experience in the pods with Brittany

In his interview, Leo talked about the love triangle in which Brittany and Hannah were entangled. The Love is Blind contestant shared that he considered Hannah as his "female version" who would instantly understand what was going on in his mind. However, Leo noticed that their conversations were mostly shallow as they were struggling to connect on a deeper and emotional level.

By the time Leo realized this, Hannah had chosen Nick D as her partner, which made Brittany feel like a "second choice." Leo shared that he was trying to reassure Brittany that he didn't choose her because Hannah rejected him. Leo explained:

“There’s no way that Brittany was not going to feel like a second choice. I was really fighting to show that I wanted her. I remember I saw her, and she’s super beautiful. But I could tell when she looked at me that I wasn’t quite her type. It’s totally fine, but I could just tell.”

Referring to the moment when Leo and Brittany saw each other for the first time, Leo said he wasn't Brittany's type. However, he wanted to give her time to get to know him during their honeymoon to explore whether they were physically and emotionally compatible outside of the pods. The Love is Blind contestant shared:

“I thought I was going. I remember thinking, ‘Oh, I’m a shoo-in, because I was in a love triangle, I also knew that I liked Brittany more than she liked me, especially in the reveal, so I felt that it would be a chance to explore that further.”

Reflecting on his journey on the show, the Love is Blind contestant said that this experience taught him how to be vulnerable and maintain a deep emotional connection with someone. He continued talking about the importance of having meaningful conversations and building an emotional connection with his potential partner, he said:

“While it also opened up myself to being hurt, I realized that going forward, that’s the only way I’ll truly find someone that I’m meant to be with for the rest of my life.”

Stream Love is Blind season 7 exclusively on Netflix. The upcoming episode will reveal which couples will say yes at the altar. Fans can follow Leo on his official Instagram account.
