In The Real Housewives Of Potomac season 9 episode 11, Stacey met with Gizelle and Karen to discuss her boyfriend, TJ. She shared that TJ was currently in Los Angeles auditioning for roles. Gizelle and Karen expressed skepticism about his intentions, implying that he might be pursuing his own interests.
Gizelle and Karen playfully teased Stacey, suggesting that she needed to explore her options and explore more relationships. Stacey defended her connection with TJ, confidently stating that she knew what she wanted and was happy with him. When Karen asked how long Stacey had known TJ, she replied that it had been about a year. Karen responded that a year was not enough time to truly know someone.
Gizelle chimed in, advising Stacey to compare and contrast her relationships. However, Stacey maintained that TJ's values, particularly his faith, were important to her. Gizelle and Karen playfully mocked this, suggesting that men who attend church are often looking for romantic connections.
Later, in a confessional, Gizelle voiced her doubts about TJ's commitment, suggesting he might be prioritizing his own interests. Karen also shared her reservations, noting that TJ seemed focused on his own life in LA. Despite this, Stacey seemed confident in her relationship and dismissed their worries.
"I'm not worried about what he's doing in LA. And why is everybody else so worried about what he's doing in LA. They need to worry about their men or lack thereof," Stacey stated.
The Real Housewives Of Potomac's Stacey confronts TJ about Gizelle and Karen's concerns
Later in The Real Housewives Of Potomac episode, Karen hosted her "Love Lagoon" event where Stacey confronted TJ about the doubts Karen and Gizelle had previously voiced. Stacey directly asked TJ if he was involved with anyone in Los Angeles. TJ attempted to ease her concerns, but Gizelle remained skeptical, later expressing her doubts in a confessional.
"That seems strange, grown man... TJ, nobody's believing you either. So, since we're lying, let's just continue to lie," Gizelle stated.
During the event, Gizelle recalled their earlier meeting and told TJ that, since there was no clarity between TJ and Stacey, she should look for other options on The Real Housewives Of Potomac. TJ defended himself, pointing out that genuine friends would not encourage Stacey to explore other options.
The conversation eventually shifted to another topic, but Stacey later expressed her frustration, feeling that her friends were overly invested in TJ's activities in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, another conflict unfolded when Mia discussed an invitation for Jacqueline with Ashley, noting that Jacqueline was not on the guest list. Mia then approached Karen but was cut off before she could even mention Jacqueline's name.
Karen firmly stated that Jacqueline was not welcome due to unresolved issues from the past. She referenced a past incident on The Real Housewives Of Potomac where Jacqueline made remarks about her being intoxicated during a call.
"Mia asking me if Jacqueline can come to my house after all the horrible things that Jacqueline have said about me. It's just Mia being messy and setting up for something that sounds foul," Karen stated.
For the unversed, Karen had gone through a DUI case, and Jacqueline insinuated that Karen was drinking while they had a conversation on the phone at the time when the case was still going on. This led to an argument between Karen and Jacqueline, and the two haven't been in contact since.
The disagreement escalated further on The Real Housewives Of Potomac when Karen directly confronted Jacqueline, leading to a rift between them. Despite Mia's efforts to mediate, Karen remained firm in her decision, refusing to allow Jacqueline into her personal space. Ultimately, Miss decided to attend the event alone, accepting Karen's refusal.
