Netflix's Outlast season 2 aired episodes 7 and 8 on Wednesday, September 11, 2924, on the streaming platform. The episode started with Joey making his way back to Camp Delta after failing to join Camp Bravo and facing heat from several cast members. After deliberating about what to do, the team decided not to vote him out.

In the finale episode, Camp Delta stood with five team members while Camp Bravo was down to Drew and Drake. The final drop informed the season 2 cast of their last challenge on the series.

"The two teams will face off on separate 11-kilometer routes, each with their own unique set of challenges, that will test their endurance and navigational abilities," the narrator explained.

Once they reached the main destination, they had to light a fight fire, the first team to do so would win Outlast season 2. Camp Bravo, consisting of Drew and Drake, won the task and the Netflix survivalist competition.

What happened in Outlast season 2 finale?

In Outlast season 2 episode 8, the contestants started their final challenge at sunrise. As per the instructions, they were given a compass, and a map to navigate their way through the terrain.

Joey felt Team Delta could win because their dynamics were stronger than ever. Tina told the cameras that the final challenge was not easy but that "five heads" were better than "two." Tina added that she and Joey were the strongest with navigation, while Drew and Drake were not "super comfortable" using a compass.

Meanwhile, Brendon was underconfident about his skills and said that he was the "weakest link" in terms of a "foot race". He explained that he needed a knee replacement and his ankle had also been reconstructed in the past. Despite his hesitations, he felt Team Delta would win.

The next day, ahead of the challenge, Drew told the cameras that while he was excited to go home, he was nervous about using a compass and reading a map. Meanwhile, Joseph prayed for Team Delta before they started the challenge.

"Before the race begins, each team must row to their respective starting points, at the north end of the bay. While both Bravo and Delta will cover the same 11 kilometers to the northern bank, the diverse terrain will present each team with a unique set of challenges," the narrator explained.

As per the Outlast season 2 narrator, the Bravo team's path had a combination of "densely wooded forests, wetlands, and waterways." The Delta team would face fewer words and "water crossings, "making navigation easier." However, they had to face "large sections of muskeg" further challenging their "dexterity and endurance."

Both teams started the race together. Drew explained that since Drake had longer legs, they decided he would set the pace while Drew would "keep up." He added that he was navigating with the compass from behind.

Although they initially thought they could follow the river path to the finish line, they had to cross a dense forest in the middle. Drew admitted he could have sharpened his navigational skills before coming on Outlast. Drake added that he would navigate based on the sun, but the dense cloud over them made that difficult.

For Team Delta, their first landmark was a beaver dam. Brendon described the initial stage of the trek as "snot." Eric almost rolled his angle and asked the others to watch where they stepped. They were the first team to reach their "waypoint".

Drew and Drake decided to cut through the terrain to find the river. They lost their way and reached the beaver dam.

"Bravo Team's inability to maintain their bearings in the thick Alaskan rainforest has put them severely off course. Meanwhile, Delta continues to build on their lead," the narrator explained.

Despite being lost, Camp Bravo reached the final destination before Camp Delta where they came across part 2 of the challenge. They read the note that told them to light a signal fire to win Outlast season 2. They did so before Delta reached the destination. Thus, Bravo's Drew and Drake became the winners of $1 million.

All episodes of Outlast season 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
