The Real Housewives of Orange County, the hit Bravo reality TV series, keeps viewers updated with each cast member's personal and professional lives. This time, one of the stars, Tamra Judge, shared a revelation about her mental health during her appearance at the Two Ts in a Pod.
Later, she took to her official Instagram account on October 15, 2024, to release a statement elaborating she has been taking therapy to heal herself from previous trauma.
Tamra shared that her therapist informed her that her sensory issues and social anxiety were some of the signs of being "on the spectrum." After revealing this, Tamra said she plans to proceed with this information "more privately."
"And she told me that many of the things about me — like how I process information, my sensory issues, my social anxiety, my aversion to eye contact with new people, my not wanting to be out of my routine, etc. — were all signs of being on the spectrum," she explained in her post.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star stated that she has been consistently going to therapy. Despite now knowing she is "on the spectrum," Tamra shared that her therapist told her that more evaluation is needed. However, Tamra said when she sat before the mic for her podcast, she "blurted out" about her mental health as she felt emotional.
Judge considered removing this reveal but thought it was important to be open with the audience as she wanted to "take people through the journey" with her. Even after getting online hate and backlash, Tamra shared that she was determined to showcase parts of her life and that this revelation was important. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member said she was working to become a better individual.
"If you know me, you know I don’t like to look weak or play the victim. I also hate labels, just as much as I hate excuses. But I’m working on myself — not a TV show; to be a better person for me and the people around me," she said.
Tamra has decided to move forward with this information "more privately." While appearing on the podcast, she told the co-host, Teddi Mellencamp, that she grew up around people in her family who didn't have much empathy and love for others. This is why Tamra said she struggled as an adult and was going to therapy to heal from her childhood trauma.
In her Instagram post, The Real Housewives of Orange County star mentioned:
"I have past trauma that is deep and painful. This is something I’ve suppressed for 15 years. But I’m finally getting the help I need, and I’m proud of myself for that. So as much as I appreciate the amazing people who reached out, I think it’s best to move forward more privately until I get to a better mental space."
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs every week on Thursdays at 9/8c exclusively on Bravo TV and the next day on Peacock TV. Fans can follow Tamra on her official Instagram account.
