The release of Love is Blind Mexico added one more version of the show to its international library which includes versions from Sweden, Japan, and Brazil. The dating reality show garnered a lot of traction among fans because of its experimental nature.
The first four episodes released on August 1, saw some of the 30 contestants getting to know each other and some even got engaged. Gerardo and Fernanda were the very first couple to put a ring on it.
During their initial conversations, Fernanda didn't hold back from clearing all her doubts to be sure of their potential relationship. One of her more intimate questions was to ask Gerardo if he was the type to be involved in threesomes. Making her side clear, she said,

Gerardo reassured her, saying he wasn't the type to do so.
Fernanda and Gerardo talk about their preferences in Love is Blind Mexico
Fernanda and Gerardo hit it off from their very first date on Love is Blind Mexico. As they kept meeting further, their connection kept strengthening. Gerardo, who was also getting close to Mafer, eventually left her and confirmed his liking for Fernanda.
During one of their dates, they talked about how important s*xual chemistry was for both of them. Fernanda then shared how she didn't like to share her partner with others and wanted to make sure Gerardo also shared the same views.
Gerardo reassured her, saying he was all for the "wholesome" kind of love. Fernanda was content with his answer as she echoed his sentiments about having wholesome love.
While introducing himself in the first episode, he said he used to be possessive in his past relationships and added that he had learned from his mistakes. So when Fernanda talked about not involving other people, it was exactly what Gerardo wanted to hear.
Why did Gerardo end up choosing Fernanda over Mafer on Love is Blind Mexico?
It was really difficult for the Love is Blind Mexico viewers to tell who Gerardo would choose out of Mafer and Fernanda because he was having equally enriching conversations with both of them. After Mafer wrote a song for him, performed, and gifted him a blanket with a spritz of her perfume, Gerardo told her he was leaning more towards Fernanda, but Mafer's actions had made it hard for him to decide on her.
He met Fernanda after her, and she had brought him a plant that made him feel at peace. Gerardo eventually chose Fernanda and bid adieu to Mafer. He said his conversation with Fernanda about "wholesome" love had struck a chord with him because of which he made the choice.
Another reason he might have chosen her was because he said he was a non-smoker and Mafer said she was one. When she asked if he minded her smoking, he had said he wouldn't want the house to smell like cigarettes.
Episodes 5 to 8 of Love is Blind Mexico will come out on August 8, on Netflix.
