Netflix released the finale of Love is Blind: Germany on January 17, 2025, bringing the social experiment to its conclusion. The episode featured the outcomes of three weddings: Hanni and Daniel, Alina and Ilias, and Sally and Medina.

Among them, Sally and Medina mutually decided not to proceed with marriage at the altar. Despite this, Medina made it clear that their relationship would continue beyond the show. Explaining their decision, Medina shared,

“I know we both only want to do it one time, and properly.”

The couple expressed their understanding of marriage as a significant commitment, choosing to prioritize their connection outside the experiment. Their decision marked the end of their journey in the show but not the end of their relationship, as they left the altar with plans to move forward together.

Sally and Medina discuss their decision before the ceremony in Love is Blind: Germany

During the finale of Love is Blind: Germany, Sally and Medina mutually agreed not to get married at the altar. Their decision followed careful consideration of their connection and the significance they attached to marriage. Before the ceremony, Sally expressed uncertainty about her feelings, sharing that she would rely on her instincts to guide her choice.

“I think I’ll probably just see in the moment what my gut tells me,” she explained.

Medina also reflected on the importance of the decision, noting how their relationship had allowed him to express vulnerability, a side of himself he rarely shared. As the ceremony neared, Sally sought guidance from her parents, who supported her in making the decision that felt right for her.

"I'm usually the pillar of strength, and always really, really strong and just all about not showing any emotions, you know. But when I'm with her, I'm completely different. It's crazy," Medina said at the altar.

Her father assured her of their support regardless of the outcome. When the officiant asked for her decision, Sally chose not to proceed with the marriage, saying,

“Medina, as much as I would like to, I can’t today. I know how important marriage is, and I’d like to give us a fighting chance.”

She mentioned that she wants to focus on preserving their connection rather than committing to marriage prematurely. Medina accepted Sally’s decision, sharing his perspective on marriage as a lifelong commitment that should be approached thoughtfully. He agreed that they should only take this step when the timing was right, emphasizing their shared belief in doing it “one time” and “properly.”

The relationship continues beyond the experiment of Love is Blind: Germany

Although Sally and Medina chose not to marry, they affirmed their commitment to each other beyond the experiment of Love is Blind: Germany. Medina acknowledged that their decision marked the end of their participation in the show but not the end of their relationship.

“This is only the end of the experiment, not the end for us,” he explained at the altar, signaling their intent to continue building their connection outside the show.

The ceremony concluded with both of them being teary eyed, and the couple left the altar together, choosing to focus on their future as a couple without the pressure of immediate marriage. Both cast members talked about the importance of taking their time to nurture their relationship before considering such a significant step.
