After the Love is Blind season 7 reunion aired on October 30, Love is Blind Habibi reunion was released next on November 1. This reunion too brought together the couples of the season and got life and relationship updates from them. The stars also reflected on their experiences of the experiment and revisited conflicts and breakups.

One such separation was that of Ammar and Karma. One of the fan-favorites of the season, Ammar and Karma got engaged in the pods and hoped for a forever together. However, their journey was cut short when Ammar refused to accept Karma's belly dancing. To him, it was a deal breaker so he gave an ultimatum to Karma saying if she wished to go forward with him, she would have to quit dancing.

To Karma, dancing was more than a hobby, she felt free when she danced. So she decided to give up on Ammar because she couldn't let go of dancing. During the reunion, she asked Ammar why it was okay for him to be shirtless on camera, but it wasn't okay for her to dance. Ammar said:

"The background I'm talking about is the norm across the entire Middle East. We're not talking about a country or just us Arabs. It's beyond that. Our society opposes dancing".

The in-detail conversation between Karma and Ammar on Love is Blind Habibi reunion

When Karma asked Ammar why he thought dancing was inappropriate on Love is Blind Habibi reunion, he said he didn't have anything against the dance form he just knew that sacrifices had to be made to build a family. When he said that society thought the same way, Karma objected and asked him not to generalize his opinions.

He explained himself saying,

"Dancing involves a level of allure. It draws attention and as Arabs, we're jealous of that. A single look can hurt more than words. A look can mean more than words or touch".

As he said this, Nour and Hajar giggled. He continued to say that he didn't think Karma should have ended things over a single conflict. Karma responded by saying that, to say the whole Arab society saw dancing as a derogatory art form was wrong because they faced differences of opinions in the same country.

She explained this by saying that even two siblings from the same household could have different perspectives on life. Another reason why what he said was wrong was because her personality was shaped in a way that she would gain strength from expressing herself. That was because her father and brother raised her to choose herself.

She added that she didn't like it when Ammar told her on Love is Blind Habibi that the man she would find in the future wouldn't be man enough. Ammar countered this by saying that was the way he was brought up by his family and community. He then said:

"It's not easy for me to keep discussing this. I can't accept my wife dancing. This is completely unacceptable to me".

He said Karma should've said "Okay, darling" to his requests and then discussed it with him instead of ending things all of a sudden. He continued that a talk could've resolved the problems between them. To this Karma replied saying that since none of them were willing to compromise it was only "wise and intelligent" to end the relationship.

The Love is Blind Habibi host then mentioned that many fans had called him "controlling" and asked him what he had to say about it. Ammar said he saw it as "protection" and "leadership". He added that if a man didn't act like a leader the woman would deem him weak.

Love is Blind Habibi is available to stream on Netflix.
