Survivor season 47 episode 8 was released on November 6, 2024, full of turns and twists. As fans already know one of the most surprising elements in this episode was Sierra Wright's exit from the reality TV competition series. Despite being confident about her alliances, Sierra was voted out.
Throughout the series, Sierra had developed a strong strategy in the game and planned on staying in the competition till the very end. However, things took a different turn when her and Sam's names were taken at the Tribal Council for a possible elimination. This revelation was both confusing and surprising for her.

Survivor star Sierra Wright shares why she was voted out
During her interview, Sierra Wright shared that the Tribal Council segment was "such a whirlwind of an experience." When the Survivor contestant realized that Sam was selected for a possible elimination, she was confused. When she heard her name, Sierra was upset and hurt.
Despite feeling "great and confident" about the alliances she made, Sierra claimed that she had a feeling that things might not go the way she wanted them to. She elaborated:
"I had no words, and I just already knew something was going to go wrong and I thought I had the trust in my core alliances and felt really great and confident, which you can't in the game of Survivor. And then here we are."
The eliminated Survivor contestant stated that she couldn't understand why her fellow cast members chose to vote her out instead of Sam. Sierra added that the reason behind Kyle's move was to separate her from Rachel and Sam. According to Kyle both the cast members had formed a strong alliance with Sierra to the extent that they would exchange information with one another.
Andy on the other hand told Sierra that he was "strategically" aligned with Sam more than her. He felt that he and Sam could move forward in the game watching each other's backs. Sierra further mentioned:
"But even watching it back the whole Tribal and leading up to Tribal, it's still not really making sense to me as to why me over Sam. So yeah, it was just interesting and still watching back, I still don't understand why I went, but here we are."
