16 contestants were sent to stand their ground and withstand the Alaskan wilderness in Outlast season 2. Some people had been to Alaska while some had not. They were up against the cold weather, wild animals, and an unknown environment.

However, their biggest problem was their fellow competitors. Since there was only one rule, contestants could play the way they wanted. Some were here to play a clean game and the prize money could not overpower their true nature. While other Outlast Season 2 contestants were ready to do anything to take home the prize.

By episode 5 of Outlast Season 2, out of sixteen contestants, five were out of the show. Team Charlie was disbanded after Bri joined Team Bravo and Joey left for Team Delta. Tre was the only member left in Team Alpha and had to find a team before he could get disqualified.

In his Outlast Season 2 confessional, Tre said that Alpha had an alliance with Bravo, however, he did not trust them. Bravo celebrated when two of Team Alpha shot their flairs.

Instead of joining up with any of the remaining teams, Tre decided that he would rather go home. First, he shot a flair in honor of his teammate Tonia and shot one for himself. With no member left, team Alpha was over.

The Alaskan weather got colder in this episode and affected all the remaining contestants. While talking about the weather the contestants heard the sound of a helicopter flying around. After 18 days, and helicopter came in and dropped a crate of supplies in the water near each camp. However, the water temperature was cold and contestants hesitated to jump in.

Bravo and Delta secured their crates and then went in for the crates of the two teams that were out. Bravo found Alpha's crate and also their hidden supplies. While they were shocked to find out that Alpha was no more, they were also happy by the fact that they were one of the two teams that were still in the game.

Team Bravo's Emily decided to explore the island that was in front of them. However, to reach the island she had to raft her way to it. She managed to make it to the island and found some apples and shrimp traps.

However, going back was very difficult and she had to go against the stream. It was a losing battle for her and she was worried that she might not make it. Mountain man Brendon on the other hand shot a porcupine for Delta and his team got to eat meat for dinner.

Rules of Netflix's Outlast

There is just one rule in this game: Be a part of a team. There were four teams with four people in each. They can change their team and move to the other if the second team allows it. Contestants just had to survive and were allowed to do whatever they wanted.

If a person wants to leave the game they could do so by shooting a flare gun into the sky. As long as a person is in a team or can join a team gets to continue on the show. The last team to withstand the Alaskan wilderness will win the competition and the one million dollar prize money will be divided amongst the team members.

Outlast Season 2 premiered on Netflix on September 4, 2024.
