Season 2 of Outlast, a survival reality game show on Netflix, released the first six episodes on September 4, 2024. The show features 16 survivalists who decided to go on an adventure in the Alaskan wilderness with the bare minimum tools and resources to survive as a team. These 16 players are divided into four teams - Alpha Camp, Bravo Camp, Charlie Camp, and Delta Camp. The one to outlast all three camps will win the prize of a whopping $1 million.
The show began with 16 survivalists, and now only two teams are left, team Bravo with three members, namely Drew, Drake, and Sammy. Another team left is Delta, which dominates the game by the number of its players, as all four players are still intact, with Joey as an addition.
The show has witnessed eliminations, dissolution of teams, resource crises, and whatnot in these six episodes so far. The last two episodes will be released on Wednesday, September 11.
5 key highlights from episodes 1 to 6 of Outlast season 2
The first elimination of the season
Bayo from team Alpha was the first to get eliminated from season 2 of Outlast. Bayo was determined to win, but his strategy proved counterproductive to his journey. Team Alpha and Bravo had their camps on the same side of the river, and Bayo thought they should assert dominance over the territory to outlast the Bravo team. Zach, the leader of team Alpha, thought they should build cordial relations instead.
Bayo played his own game, and while he was at Bravo's camp with Zach, he emptied their water containers and stole supplies. His actions did not sit well with the team, and the team voted him out. Instead of joining another team, Bayo self-eliminated himself in episode 2, leading to being the first to get eliminated.
The dissolution of team Charlie
Team Charlie found itself caught in the cold weather of the Alaskan forest, leading them to leave the team one by one. Brianne moved ahead and joined Bravo camp and Julio, the leader of the Charlie camp, was struck by spasm due to extreme cold weather and had to quit the show.
Meghan also quit due to health issues, she didn't want to risk getting sick as she previously had frostbite and started getting those sensations in her fingers. Joey was the only one left, and therefore, he decided to join the team Delta in episode 4. Team Charlie dissolved, so Delta and Bravo stood with one extra member each.
The last two teams struggling to survive the Alaskan wilderness
Team Charlie dissolved in episode 4, with Joey being the last member and joining team Delta. On the other hand, team Alpha had three members left, and the leader, Zach, was forced to leave the show because of injury. Tonia, a member, also had to leave due to poor health from cold conditions. Tre was the last man standing in team Alpha, but he decided not to join another team and flared up the fire twice, one for Tonia and the other for himself.
He left the show and hid team Alpha's supplies, only to get discovered by team Bravo in a later episode. In the last two episodes, only two teams were left to compete in harsh cold weather. They lacked sleep and energy but had the zeal to win $1 million by outlasting each other.
Emily's failed expedition and elimination from the game
In episode 6 of Outlast season 2, Emily from team Bravo insisted on making a raft and took an expedition searching for food supplies and resources. Unfortunately, the expedition cost Emily her eviction, and her team suffered because of the lost resources. Emily placed herself too far from where her team camped, and on the way back, she faced fatigue and had to flare up the firegun to get out of the crisis.
Drew's boat drama
Drew from the Bravo team was caught up in a boat fiasco as episode 6 unfolded. The remaining two teams, Bravo and Delta, were each given a boat, which were dropped in the middle of the river. Both teams had to get to the boats by building a raft with their resources. Team Bravo already faced a setback with Emily and Bri getting eliminated, they had an advantage as they already had a raft. However, team Delta had to build one with their resources.
Episode 6 ends with a nail-biting race to the boats, where Joseph from team Delta is the first to make it, and Drew is still struggling with all his energy. Episodes 7 and 8 reveal how this competition ended and how the fate of the two teams unfolded.
Episodes 1 to 6 of Outlast season 2 are streaming on Netflix now. The last two episodes, 7 and 8, air on September 11, 2024.
