Netflix has finally dropped the trailer for Outlast season 2, and it's packed with action, suspense, and a glimpse into the lives of the contestants battling it out in the Alaskan wilderness.

The trailer of Outlast season 2 starts with one of the contestants reading out the rules of the survival show to his fellow contestants.

Viewers are then introduced to Emily Johnston, a data analyst who led various survival courses, including navigation and cold weather survival. She's shown rowing across a lake, struggling to make it to the other side as the tides take her out and drift her away from the land.

Emily acknowledges that she is in a life-threatening situation and one of her fellow contestants doubts whether she has the strength to get back.

Next Meghan Buchanan, a rocket scientist and adventure athlete, comes up on the screen. Meghan is fully committed to getting through this challenge with her team. She is familiar with extreme cold conditions and knows how to make fire, catch fish, and build structures.

As the trailer progresses viewers hear one of the contestants saying that he's hungry and cold and that he's done. This is followed by a dramatic scene of someone loading a flare gun and shooting it, eliminating themselves from the competition in the process. The person who shot the flare gun may not be the one who was speaking before, but in any case, the elimination increases the chances of the other team winning.
