Outlast season 2 finale episode 8 titled Winners Are Made was released exclusively on Netflix on September 11, 2024.

It is a survival show in which contestants compete for a million-dollar grand prize by living in harsh weather conditions in Alaska. All participants are divided into four teams and must complete challenges, survive on limited food, and build their shelters.

One of the Delta team contestants, Brendon Ash played strategically in the game and didn't have an individualistic approach in the competition. Multiple times on the show, the professional trapper from Central Idaho used his skills to help his teammates and bring useful supplies. In the episode 8 finale, Brendon encouraged and motivated his fellow team members as they reached the "finish line."

The episode synopsis reads as the following:

"As the competition winds down, the exhausted survivalists face betrayal and a final challenge that tests their endurance and navigation skills."

Brendon's journey on the Outlast season 2 episode 8

On Outlast season 2 episode 8, Brendon told his team members that Joey had taken the boat without informing them. He was suspicious that Joey might switch sides and go to the Bravo team. As Joey didn't inform his teammates that he was going, this made Brendon feel he couldn't be trusted.

Brendon's intuition was right as Joey had gone over to Bravo to "pitch" himself. His strong critical thinking skills and keeping an eye on his surroundings were one of his strongest qualities. Brendon told his fellow teammate that "something wasn't right" with Joey's behavior and he might have been plotting something behind their backs. Brendon further continued:

"I knew something was not right. I've had that sensation from day three. That's why I've been an a**hole to him. We're not gonna do any conclusion until we talk about why he took that boat first. I'll let you know what happens."

Delta had already lost towards the end of the Outlast season 2 episode 8. Tina felt she "let the team down" due to her mistake. She repeatedly claimed to be at fault but Brendon appreciated her efforts to reach the "finish line."

"Don't be sorry. We made it to the finish line. You finished strong. Your mom's gonna be proud. She'll be proud."

During his confessional interview, the Outlast participant said he was proud of his opponents for winning the grand prize. As per Brandon "it wasn't in the cards" for them to win this time but he was grateful for the experience and mentioned he would miss his teammates. He further stated:

"Those guys beat us there and they get the cash prize. Good on you, boys. I'm proud of you. Did I want it? Hell yeah, I wanted it. I wanted it for everybody on the team. Uh, it wasn't in the cards for us, but it's okay."

All episodes of the new season are available on Netflix. Fans can also follow Brendon on his official Instagram account to see what he has been up to since the finale episode aired.
