Outlast season 2 finale recap
Team Delta confronts Joey
Outlast season 2 finale kicked off with Joey back in his camp after having a chat with Team Bravo about joining them. He was disappointed to come back after hearing a no and worried that his teammates would find out that he was thinking about betraying them.
What Joey feared happened, as Delta found out that he had made contact with Bravo. When Joey returned to his camp, he was greeted by Eric who was not happy with his action and told Joey that what he did was wrong. Joey's other Delta teammates also felt betrayed by his decision and had a conversation about whether they needed to keep him on the team any longer.
Joseph then went over to have a chat with the Outlast cast member and interrogated Joey about why he went over to Bravo. He gave Joey the benefit of the doubt and hugged him, before telling him to stay strong. In the end, all of Joey's teammates decide to forgive him and give him a second chance.
The final trip to the prize money
Both Outlast season 2 teams got their final drop - a message for their final adventure. The two teams had to set off on separate 11-kilometer routes, each having their set of challenges to test the teams' endurance and navigational abilities. Besides the message, they receive a compass and a map to navigate to the finish line.
The teams had to start at sunrise, travel through their respective paths, and make it to the finish line before their opposition team in order to win the prize money.
The narrator explained that Team Bravo had to face a combination of densely wooded forests, wetlands, and waterways to the finish line, saying,
"Bravo's suggested route heads north, making contact with a river that turns into a delta at their finish line. But between them and their exposed waterway is a densely wooded forest with no clear path."
To the west, Team Delta had fewer woods and water crossings, making navigation easier for them. However, they had to go through large sections of muskeg or grassy bog.
"The initial part of Delta's Journey is straightforward, taking them west along the creek to their first landmark, a beaver dam. But the terrain has hidden challenges," the narrator added.
Despite their slow pace, Delta was the first team to reach their waypoint. However, Team Bravo was the first to make it close to the finish line, where they received their final challenge. They had to use their primitive skills and create a friction fire using a bow, a spindle, and a baseboard.
Bravo was successful and completed the challenge to win Outlast season 2.
