Outlast season 2 trailer and more
On August 7, Netflix announced that the Outlast season 2 is slated to release in two batches. The first six episodes will drop on September 4, and the final two episodes will be out a week later, on September 11. The show is set in Little Duncan Bay, Alaska, where the contenders will survive extreme environmental conditions.
As seen in the trailer for season 2, a lot of drama is going to happen in the show. A player is seen trapped on a raft as the tide rises, creating a "life-threatening situation." Another contestant is shown fearing that hypothermia might be setting in. Additionally, a bona fide emergency is observed, with a person who appears to be medically evacuated from the place.
Last season, one of the contestants, Justin Court, was seen stealing the sleeping bags and forcing a few contestants to quit rather than survive in that cold. The other two players also ransacked a player’s shelter and demolished his raft. Responding to these incidents, the executive producer of the show Outlast told Entertainment Weekly in March 2023:
"No question, it was shocking. That was actually one of the times when production had to step in and separate people: ‘Go to your rooms.' We were afraid."
He further said that the people were so angry and so heated that, for safety's sake, it was necessary to ensure that everyone was slowed down so the situation could be reassessed.
This September, watch the second installment of Outlast exclusively on Netflix.
