The Challenge All Stars: Rivals is set to shift from Paramount+ to MTV when it debuts on January 29 at 8 pm ET. As the cast was announced for The Challenge All Stars: Rivals, it was revealed that the Battle of the Seasons winner and Rivals II finalist Frank would also be joining the cast with Sam, with whom he won Battle of the Seasons as a part of Team San Diego.
The Rivals theme has been a fan favorite in The Challenge franchise since it first debuted in 2011. The format pairs two competitors with complicated pasts, forcing them to work together as a team. Frank and Sam's past was marred by Frank's behavior towards Sam during the 2012 season, particularly during the final, which led to a rift between the two.
After The Challenge All Stars: Rivals announcement, Frank faced criticism from fans. He took to social media to address the backlash, claiming it would be the final time he spoke on the matter.
Frank expressed deep regret for his past behavior towards Sam, acknowledging that he had grossly overstepped boundaries.
"Sam asked me to 'drag her dead body across the finish line,' we were in a highly competitive setting, with a team yards behind us, hundreds and thousands of dollars on the line, and I grossly overstepped boundaries and took her request far too literally," stated Frank.

Frank further expressed his remorse, extending apologies to anyone who had been hurt or made uncomfortable by the exaggerated accounts of his past behavior.
He declared that he was putting the past behind him, emphasizing that he had grown and matured as a person.
"I apologize to whoever has been harmed or felt uncomfortable with this hyperbolic narrative in the past, but it dies right here and now," stated Frank.
Frank reiterated his regret for his past mistakes, making it clear that they do not define his current character or future aspirations. Frank began by expressing his frustration with the constant criticism he faces online.
He stated that he is exhausted from seeing his name associated with negative terms such as "psycho," "abuse," and "awful" on social media platforms and forums.
Frank acknowledged that he understands why people might hold these opinions, but he wanted to address the issue one last time. He took responsibility for his past behavior, attributing it to his youthful insecurities, excessive drinking, and immaturity in handling the pressures of being in the public eye.
Frank described his past actions as unacceptable and inexcusable.
The Challenge All Stars: Rivals cast member fully accepted that he could have handled various situations better, exercising more restraint and self-control.
However, he acknowledged that he had failed to do so, often engaging in behavior that was hurtful and immature.
"I fully acknowledge that across several situations I could have reacted better, bit my tongue, or held back from, frankly, punching down," said Frank.
He continued further:
"But, I didn't - I wrestled in the mud with a bunch of other folks who likely aren't too proud of their indulgent and irresponsible behavior when we were all basically still kids," claimed Frank.
Frank described himself and others as having engaged in irresponsible and indulgent behavior during their younger years, essentially wallowing in their own immaturity.
Frank also stated that he would no longer tolerate false narratives about himself. He emphasized that he is not a malicious person and has not been consistently rude, angry, or outrageous outside of specific situations.
The Challenge All Stars: Rivals cast member asserted that he deserves the same understanding and forgiveness that people typically receive when they reflect, change, and grow.
He argued that continuing to label him as abusive or violent is not only exaggerated but also harmful and irresponsible.
