Owning Manhattan episode 7 focused on Ryan trying to build a loyal community with his real estate agents. He heard that one of his top agents left his company because there was a rumor that she was Ryan's favorite, and that's why she was "being fed." It was a huge loss for SERHANT., as the agent who left was the one who used to bring millionaire buyers from all across Asia.

Ryan was worried that other agents would leave his company too, as it was a fairly new startup compared to other agencies. He wanted to build trust within his top agents' circle, so he took them to dinner and gave them an expensive watch.

This group included Nile Lundgren, Tricia Lee, and Jordan Hurt. Owning Manhattan cast member Tricia told the camera that if she got a better opportunity, she would leave Ryan's company too, but after the dinner, she changed her mind.

Tricia realized Ryan was ready to give her new listings and projects to work on. During the dinner, Ryan received a text that the "deal was off." He immediately called his worker and asked her what had happened.

She revealed that Jonathan Nørmølle made some unprofessional statements in front of the buyer, something along the lines of that they couldn't afford the sofa in the penthouse. This offended the buyer, and they decided to go to another agency to hunt for a luxurious apartment.

Previously on Owning Manhattan Serhant was confused with Jonathan's behavior when he showed up without a buyer and said that the client trusted him enough. He said he would make videos and take photos as the client was traveling but didn't film anything. Upon hearing this, Ryan was annoyed at Jonathan's behavior. During his confessional interview, he said:

"Not bringing a buyer to a high-end showing and canceling last minute is one thing. But then actually showing up and being rude, and the listing agent is an agent of ours who's one of the biggest in the city? I don't understand."

Ryan continued explaining why he was so frustrated to his partner:

"As you know, the brand and reputation are incredibly important to me It is everything because it took me 15 years to get here and it will take me 20 seconds to end it. It's my stamp on him. And then he's running around saying he's working for us. But the real non-negotiable here, and the best thing that angers me the most, is wasting your time."
