Perfect Match season 2 premiered on June 7, 2024, on Netflix. It featured some of the most known faces from shows like Too Hot to Handle, The Circle, Love is Blind, The Trust, and more. Eligible singles got the chance to interact and connect over common interests. Their journey to leave with a potential partner was tested in the show as new contestants entered the villa each day.
With love on the line, cast members had to function strategically to save themselves from being evicted from the show. They had to think quickly and devise new game plans when fellow co-stars tried to sabotage their connections.
Failure to do so resulted in instant elimination, making the 'strategy game' a key element of the show. Tolu Ekundare, Elys Hutchinson, and Micah Lussier acted accordingly, earning another chance to survive inside the villa.

Perfect Match season 2 contestants who played the 'strategy game'
1) Elys matched with Chris Hahn
In episode 3, titled Chaos Theory, the Perfect Match couple, Micah and Kaz went to the boardroom to select people to send on blind dates. They chose to set Elys's then-match, Harry Jowsey, on a date with Love is Blind alum, Jessica Vestal. Harry and Jessica immediately hit it off and decided to match by night's end, leaving Elys single.
Elys felt frustrated and wanted to get back at Harry for betraying her. Consequently, she matched with Chris, a fellow contestant and longtime friend, despite having no romantic interest in him. She paired specifically to avoid elimination.
"I was team Harry, and it's obviously fired back in my face, and now I need to do things for myself. And I genuinely want to stay," Elys said.
2) Micah decided to match with Izzy
Micah was initially paired with Too Hot to Handle star Stevan but felt a better connection with Dated & Related alum Kaz Bishop, who was coupled with Xanthi from The Circle. Stevan and Kaz swapped partners and matched with Xanthi and Micah respectively in episode 2 of Perfect Match season 2.
Ever since, the couple deemed one of the strongest connections in the house displayed great chemistry. However, after being sent on a date with Holly Scarfone in episode 6 of Perfect Match season 2, Kaz's relationship with Micah started to fade.
In episodes 8 and 9, Kaz met Christine and preferred matching with her over Micah. In a major turn of events, Micah caught Kaz kissing Holly, resulting in their bitter breakup. Then, Kaz immediately matched with Christine. To avoid eviction, Micah strategized and paired with Izzy despite confessing she was not romantically attracted to him. They are currently headed to the finale.
"In the back of my head, I'm thinking about how I have to wake up and see Kaz with Christine tomorrow. But I'm just trying to follow my heart, do what feels right, and make the best decisions for me," Micah stated.
3) Tolu decided to go on a date with Jake in Perfect Match season 2
Tolu started her Perfect Match journey with Izzy. However, after being sent on a date with Dom Gabriel, she began questioning her connection with Izzy. She felt a spark with Dom, lacking in her relationship with the others. As a result, Tolu paired with him in episode 2, while Izzy left the house.
Tolu and Dom's relationship started strong but it did not last. When a new single, Alara, entered the Perfect Match house in episode 4, Dom felt infatuated with her. Tolu revealed he distanced himself from her and displayed a total "personality shift." Frustrated by his disinterest in her, Tolu felt blindsided and decided to set herself on a date with Jake.
She refused to let herself have a bad experience and strategized to find a better match. As a result, she jeopardized Dom's position in the house, stating it was his "karma." She said:
"I just refuse to be a pawn in any man's game or any man's scheme. I'm looking for my perfect match. I'm looking for someone that I can actually build some real sh*t with outside of this house."
