Perfect Match season 2 has kicked off and one of the contestants who has gained a lot of attention is Dom Gabriel. The 31-year-old social media influencer hails from Toronto, Canada, and released an EP with his band, Dontcall. Other than composing music, Dom has made notable appearances on different reality shows such as The Mole and Perfect Match.

As of June 2024, Dom's Instagram account has over 719,000 followers, which is a testament to his popularity among reality television fans. His appearance was brief in the reboot of The Mole, but later appeared on season 1 of Perfect Match and even won the season with Too Hot To Handle alum Georgia Hassarati. Due to this, he has been able to steadily establish himself in the entertainment industry and has appeared again on the sets of Perfect Match season 2.

Dom Gabriel's career

Dom Gabriel has always described himself as a musician first, and in between his appearance on the two seasons of Perfect Match, Dom focused all of his energy on producing music for his band, Dontcall. With an EP out to their name, Dom has promoted his music actively on his socials.

Despite the hectic schedule demands of being a musician and a reality star, Dom hasn't refrained from pursuing different avenues to explore monetary gains. On his Instagram handle, the 31-year-old proudly promotes his apparel, Roxas, where one can find hoodies and necklaces.

Dom is also known for frequently uploading reels on Instagram. Through his content, he usually focuses on himself, talking about his ADHD diagnosis and often states that he does so to spread awareness about the subject.

His followers have gradually risen over the years after his appearance on Perfect Match. Dom also posts behind-the-scenes content and after the conclusion of season 1, he posted about his thoughts on the show's end and his eventual heartbreak.

Dom has regrets from Perfect Match season 1

Dom was first introduced to the reality television world through the reboot of The Mole. He took a break from reality television after winning the first season of Perfect Match as his relationship with Georgia, which started on the show, ended as soon as the camera stopped rolling.

After that break, Dom indulged in music and business endeavors and finally decided to return for season 2. He confessed that he was hesitant in repeating the same mistakes he made during the first season even though he won, referring to his relationship with co-winner Georgia Hassarati. Dom told Elite Daily:

“Yeah, I won the show, but that relationship obviously didn't work out.”

Georgia started dating another reality star Harry Jowsey by that time. In the June 2022 episode of his podcast, Boyfriend Material, Jowsey said that he and Georgia had spent every day together since she came into the studio to record the podcast episode.

This created a controversy of sorts as it wasn't public knowledge that Dom and Georgia had broken up. Dom later showed regret in terms of not approaching other contestants during his time on season 1. Dom shared:

"I didn't talk to anybody the first season. I regret not talking to Savannah. Who knows how that would've went? Or to see things through with Ines."

While Dom was loyal to Georgia and focused his energy on just one person in season 1, season 2 saw Dom flip the switch on this strategy and become more open to talking to everyone.

In season 2, Dom initially matched with Tolú Ekundare, but he also asked Tolú to seek different options. Speaking from his own experience, he revealed in a one-on-one interview that he encouraged Tolú to do so to avoid repeating the mistakes Dom made in the previous season.

The finale of Perfect Match season 2 will air on Friday, June 21, 2024, exclusively on Netflix.
