“Personality, charisma, stage presence” — The Voice season 26 coach Gwen praises Christina Eagle in season 26 battles round 1 

The Voice season 26 battle rounds have begun, with judges pairing team members to compete. In episode 7, which was released on October 21, Snoop's country artists, Christina Eagle and Gail Bliss, delivered a powerful performance, making it hard for him to decide.

Christina Eagle won the battle, but Snoop used the replay button to save Bliss, who had been saved once before during the auditions. Eagle, 23, had joined Snoop's team after receiving a single chair turn in the auditions.

When the battle round began, Coach Gwen was impressed by Christina's vocal range and her ability to make an existing song her own. She praised Christina for having a unique personality, charisma, and onstage presence, Gwen continued stating:

"I'm looking at Christina, and I can't believe you're not signed. You're insanely good. You can't teach somebody personality, charisma, stage presence. That's just you being you."

Country artist Christina Eagle wins the battle round one on The Voice season 26

On The Voice season 26 episode 7, Snoop talked about his decision and how he selects artists to compete in the battle round. In a behind-the-scenes clip, Snoop shared that his "approach" was to choose artists whose vocals would go well together and which music genre would suit their voice.

Eagle and Bliss were paired as competitors to perform Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson on stage. After their performance ended, the audience and judges cheered for both the participants. It was a tough decision for The Voice judge Snoop to select one of them. Before announcing the winner of the battle round, Snoop mentioned that the two artists brought "sisterhood" to the stage.

He said that making the final decision was about to "break his heart." In the end, Snoop declared Christina as the winner of the first battle round, he announced:

"The energy that y'all brought, the sisterhood, the things that y'all talked about, being there to make everything feel like it's one rather than 'I'm competing against you. My decision is based off of what I feel like could actually have the most potential on this show to grow. With that being said, the winner of this Battle is Christina Eagle."

Other judges including McEntire also praised Christina stating she was a "force of nature" while also appreciating Gail for her powerful performance. McEntire continued stating further:

"I loved it. Totally entertaining, you had Snoop dancin' up a storm. Way to bring the party to town. Christina, you're a force of nature, your vocal was just really up there, and Gail you had more of the low-end going. You're almost like sisters singing up there, havin' fun, so...good luck there, Snoop."
