The much-awaited season 26 of Big Brother finally hit the screens on Wednesday, July 17. The first episode was enough for the fans to get a gist of what's to come in the show. Apart from the entertaining challenges that made headlines in the first episode, the AI twist was another pivotal moment for getting fan reactions.

When a contestant named Ainsley got the least votes, she was eliminated. However, she came on a video to reveal that she represented the AI that was programmed to run this season of the game. She also said that she had come in as a contestant to gather information on each of them. She then morphed into a blue humanoid creature.

Fans of the show have been taking to X since to express their disapproval of the new twist that is unique to this season. Some of the tweets say that they feel like the makers went with the AI trend that was recently seen on other reality TV shows like The Circle season 6.

"I missed the premiere but this AI twist is so wack. I thought it was gonna be like Circle not another houseguest with a bad wig," said one user.

After the AI was introduced, she explained the two challenges of the episode that would earn the winning contestant an upgrade. The first challenge had the contestants spin on a spinning chair, and while they spun, the screens around them would blink different colors.

The spinning contestant had to memorize the sequence of the colors and once the spinning stopped, they had to replicate the sequence on the given buzzers.

For the second challenge, each participating contestant had to put their head in different boxes full of different critters and snakes. They had to interpret a word out of the letters scattered inside these boxes and find the word on the board outside.
