The reality show's episode 14 of the season was released on December 15, 2024, in which Kody went on a date with Robyn.

During the date, Robyn inquired if Kody was comfortable with their kids going to church, and he responded affirmatively. However, he expressed concerns that Robyn might be perceived as a single mother, attracting unwanted male attention. Kody jokingly confessed that he had noticed several men showing interest in Robyn, attempting to get close to her by being around her.

He recalled the first time he met Robyn at church, where they exchanged a meaningful gaze. Robyn playfully corrected Kody, claiming she initiated the eye contact. Kody shared his recollection of their first encounter, describing how he was immediately drawn to Robyn.

"We made that gaze, that connection. By the time you looked away, I actually said that was probably inappropriate. She is most likely married," stated Kody.

Later, Kody expressed his desire to protect Robyn from other men. Robyn reassured him, pointing to her wedding ring as a symbol of her commitment. Kody jokingly responded that he wanted to ensure the ring was visible enough to deter potential suitors.

Sister Wives star Kody stopped going to church after his previous divorces

In the Sister Wives episode, Kody and Robyn spent a quiet evening together. However, their date night quickly shifted to a discussion about their children, particularly their daughters, Aurora and Breanna, who expressed a desire to attend church again. Robyn also shared her own wish to return to church.

Kody expressed reservations about church, feeling it was no longer a safe space for him, especially after the backlash from his previous divorces. Their relationship with the church changed dramatically after they publicly revealed their polygamous lifestyle. Robyn explained that the church's reaction had a profound impact on Kody, leaving him feeling disillusioned.

“I think really, the way that our church reacted to that really, kind of, threw him off, and it made him feel just like, ‘Wait, what the heck?’” Kody stated.

Meanwhile, Christine Brown and her fiance, David Woolley, hosted an engagement party at a casual taco restaurant to celebrate their upcoming wedding. Christine was dressed in a white outfit, but struggled to keep it clean while enjoying the messy tacos. The party was attended by Christine's children, and also included Janelle Brown and her son Hunter.

Christine's son Paedon shared with the Sister Wives' cameras that although Christine and David had only known each other for nine months, the family was trying their best to be part of the celebration.

“Mom’s now engaged and she’s been dating him for 10 seconds, but we’re all very happy for her,” said Paedon in a confessional.

Meanwhile, Meri Brown embarked on a road trip with her best friend, Jenn, to Las Vegas, where they met up with their friend Brandi. During their gathering, Jenn brought up Kody, prompting Meri to open up about the pain of her breakup with him on Sister Wives. Meri reflected on the false hope she had held onto for years, believing their relationship could be salvaged.

Meri revealed that Kody had given her a list of tasks to complete in an attempt to repair their relationship, which she now recognized as a futile effort. She then shared a text message she had sent to Kody after being granted a spiritual release from their church, officially ending their marriage.

In the emotional message, Meri expressed her heartbreak and acknowledged the end of their life together on Sister Wives. She conveyed her love and respect for Kody, while also releasing him from any responsibility or concern for her well-being.
