“Producer’s plant!” — Big Brother fans claim Angela is protected by the channel

Big Brother season 26 episodes 7 and 8 were released on July 31 and August 1 respectively. In the latest segment, Angela was among the three nominated contestants for eviction chosen by Chelsie, the Head of Household (HOH). Most guessed that the houseguests would vote for her because most of them had some beef with her. However, to everyone's surprise, Lisa was voted out.

Fans thought that Angela was being protected from eviction by the producers because she was often at the center of most fights, bold statements, and crying. They took to X to claim that the producers may have asked houseguests to save Angela. Netizens also stated that was unreasonable to vote out Lisa. Some of them said that Angela was planted by the producers to stir up drama in the house.

One Big Brother fan said:

"So what is your code of conduct with bullying especially in these times? First crazy eyes now twit! Why are you allowing Angela to continue?? Oh it’s b/c she’s a producers plant! Got it! Do better BB!"

Many Big Brother fans claimed that the channel may have asked the players to specifically vote for Lisa so that Angela could be saved. This was inevitable because Lisa was the only player Angela was up against after T'kor saved himself from evictions by winning the AI Arena challenge. Some of the comments read:

"Producers were like you better vote Lisa out so Angela can carry the show," one comment read.

"So the producers told the houseguests to blindside Lisa to keep Angela huh," another person wrote.

"Did the producers of #BigBrother tell people to vote for Lisa?" one fan said.

Why would fans think Angela was protected by the producers from getting evicted on Big Brother season 26?

Previously, Big Brother fans found Angela unreasonable as she nominated Matt to be amongst the people she wanted gone. This led to Matt's eviction from the house in the very first week of the show.

The reason she put him up was because he said if Angela nominated him as an HOH, he would nominate her back later when he assumed the role. Angela went around the house saying Matt "threatened" her so she nominated him. She also called him "crazy eyes".

Then in episode 8 of Big Brother, Angela eavesdropped on some houseguests talking about evicting her. Lisa, another contestant who was nominated for eviction alongside Angela, was also a part of the conversation. The latter walked into the room and listed reasons why Lisa should be taken out instead of her, she even mocked Lisa's walk. This made Lisa break down and storm out of the room in panic.

Many fans took to X to say this was bullying and a reason for the houseguests to vote for Angela. Fans' consistent dislike of Angela's tactics was the reason they were shocked to see her not getting eliminated. This made them think there was more to the show than the eyes could see and claim that the producers were protecting her.
