Queer Eye season 9 is set to be released on Netflix on December 11, 2024. The Fab Five are prepared to change lives with their distinctive blend of compassion, self-care, and style as they travel to Las Vegas this season.

Interior designer Jeremiah Brent will join four of the original members of the Fab Five in season 9 - Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski, and Tan France. Queer Eye season 9 promises to offer life-altering experiences and emotional transformations in a fresh setting.

Each of the Fab Five has varying specializations from fashion to lifestyle to cooking, and interiors. They use their skills to help one person transform their life. The person's friend or family usually nominates them for the transformation to help them lead a happier and healthier life.

About the cast of Queer Eye

1) Jonathan Van Ness (grooming and self-care expert)

Since Queer Eye's 2018 release on Netflix, Jonathan Van Ness, often known as JVN, has served as the show's grooming and self-care specialist. Van Ness, who is well-known for their skills as a hairstylist, contributes to the beauty and self-love aspect of the program.

Jonathan tries to motivate people with words of affirmation on their website and states that "imperfection is beautiful."

"Imperfection is beautiful. To anyone who has ever felt broken beyond repair, this is for you"

Jonathan also has their own podcast titled Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness, apart from having written multiple books, including Over the Top: A Raw Journey to Self-Love. The Queer Eye star has a sustainable haircare line as well, named JVN Hair.

Apart from all this, they are also an outspoken supporter of HIV awareness and LGBTQ+ rights.

2) Karamo Brown (culture expert)

The culture specialist, Karamo Brown, has been a member of the cast since the beginning. Brown is a former social worker and TV personality who is well-known for his sympathetic attitude toward helping people overcome their emotional and personal obstacles.

When Karamo appeared on MTV's The Real World in 2004, he became the first openly gay African American on reality television before joining Queer Eye.

3) Antoni Porowski (food & wine expert)

Antoni Porowski applies his love of food and nutrition to his role as a resident food and wine expert. Porowski, a self-taught chef, has utilized his position to teach Queer Eye's heroes how to make delicious and nutritious meals.

Along with fellow cast member Jonathan Van Ness, he co-founded the pet food company Yummers and is a best-selling author outside of the show. Antoni was also a part of a Netflix feature film Girls and Boys. Antoni's personal experiences were used as the partial inspiration for the film.

Tan France (fashion expert)

Tan France, the fashion guru, is renowned for his sense of style and ability to make the heroes' outfits better. France has worked in the fashion industry for more than 20 years and is a well-known womenswear designer, stylist, and author.

By making others feel more confident about their clothing and creating outfits that fit their personality, he contributes his style philosophy. Tan, who has designed his own house and balanced his work with raising his kids, is also a dedicated family man.

Jeremiah Brent (interior design expert)

Season 9's interior design specialist is Jeremiah Brent, the most recent cast member to join Queer Eye. As the creator of his own design company, Jeremiah Brent Design, Brent has established himself in the upscale design industry with projects in New York, Los Angeles, and other places.

His guiding principle is to design intimate settings influenced by his clients' emotional lives. As he alters venues in Las Vegas for the newest heroes, he will add a new dynamic to the group.

What to expect from season 9

The Fab Five will encounter a new set of people in need of drastic makeovers in Las Vegas. The Queer Eye stars will assist a variety of people, such as a librarian looking for personal development and a former showgirl having trouble regaining her confidence, according to the show's premise.

The arrival of Jeremiah Brent, who contributes an acute sense of design to the series, is among the most fascinating elements of season 9. The Fab Five will encourage the nominated people to reach their greatest potential while addressing any personal issues that have prevented them from doing so.

It is worth noting Jeremiah Brent is replacing the former interior designer, Bobby Berk. There were claims that Berk left the show due to a feud between him and Tan France. However, Bobby revealed to Variety that it was due to contractual obligations.

Bobby left the show after season eight as the Fab Five's contract with Netflix ended in 2022. He told Variety that he had already made other plans for himself before Netflix renewed their contracts.

All eight episodes of Queer Eye season 9 will be accessible on Netflix on December 11, 2024.
