Below Deck Mediterranean dropped season 9 on June 3, 2024, featuring a lot of drama and boatmances on the yacht. One of the major highlights this season was a new cast member Carrie's introduction to the crew. After that, the dynamics between Aesha Scott and Ellie changed as Ellie felt Carrie was trying to boss everyone around.

According to other crew members, Ellie also felt threatened by a new stew who might take over the opportunity she was planning on availing. During her time on the show, the cast member learned a lot under Aesha Scott's guidance and was grateful for her assistance. However, things soon changed between them after episode 16 titled Chain of Command-ment was aired on September 16, 2024.

During the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show the same day, Ellie shared that Aesha's behavior towards her was "hurtful." She further mentioned that she was not given a chance to explain herself but rather was "discarded." The stew elaborated that she always valued Aesha's opinion and respected her, so Scott's behavior towards her was something she wasn't prepared for. Ellie continued:

"The way Aesha was treating me towards the end was quite hurtful. I felt like I stood on my head the entire season to please Aesha. I respected her, I valued her opinion a lot, and it meant the world to me to impress her."

Ellie also mentioned that she didn't get the same respect back when she would always considered Aesha a lead and a mentor for her:

"So for her to kind of discard me in the end, without having enough respect for me to just ask me first, to try to communicate first, allow me to explain, it really, really hurt."

"I never intentionally overstepped" — Ellie opens up about her relationship with Aesha Scott on Below Deck Mediterranean

In the Below Deck Mediterranean Aftershow, Aesha Scott also shared her point of view. According to her, Ellie was "designating jobs" to other people in the crew, that was when Aesha told Ellie to not "overstep" as the second stew in episode 16.

Ellie defended herself saying she had no intention of taking control over Aesha's position. Ellie clarified that she always considered Scott as her "lead" and respected her decisions. The second stew added:

"I never intentionally overstepped. If anything, this entire season I've tried my best to not overstep. I've always given her respect that she is the lead."

The Below Deck Mediterranean crew member narrated a few events when she showed respect to Aesha. Ellie stated she would never walk in front of Aesha when the guests were present or intervene at any point Scott was taking charge. Ellie further clarified she was asking for help and was not trying to assign their specific tasks to others. She said:

"If I was calling the girls to come and help me at any point, I was just asking if there was somebody available to help. I never meant it to sound like, 'Oh, stop doing what Aesha said and come do what I said.'"

To see whether Ellie and Aesha Scott clarify their misunderstandings and move past the tension between them, stream the new episodes of Below Deck Mediterranean, season 9. Watch it exclusively on Bravo TV every Monday at 9 PM ET. Fans can watch the newly released episode 16 on Peacock TV as well.
