Race to Survive: New Zealand releases next month

Get ready for the premiere of Race to Survive on Monday, May 20, at 11 pm ET on USA Network. Following the gripping first season set in the Alaskan wilderness, the second season promises to transport participants to the enchanting yet merciless landscapes of New Zealand.

Race to Survive: New Zealand will include people from different walks of life

Race to Survive season 2 will feature participants with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. The team members will include smoke jumpers, mountain climbers, river guides, and recent divorcees. They will endure through survival skills while navigating through 150 miles of harsh terrain in New Zealand.

Participants will race through ancient caves to alpine summits during their journey. With speed, endurance, and the ability to survive any situation, the strongest team will win $500,000 prize money.

USA Network’s official synopsis describes the second season as:

“From the depths of ancient caves to frigid alpine summits, every step and every calorie is hard-earned. However, strength and speed alone won’t be enough to win $500,000. Rather, only those with the strongest will to survive can claim this life-changing prize.”

Team members will have to find their own water and food while passing through various parts of the region. While doing that, they will need to find the safest as well as fastest route to stay ahead in the game.

With the race moving forward in each episode, the slowest team to reach the finish line will be eliminated.

A recently released trailer for the upcoming season shows how participants will be seen in the show. A contestant shared:

“You either make it or you don’t. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.”
