Survivor 47 season finale is set to air exclusively on CBS on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. This episode will conclude season 47, revealing the winner out of the four contestants, Rachel Lamont, Sue Smey, Sam Phalen, or Teeny Chirichillo. The upcoming episode will disclose who will receive the title of Sole Survivor and the million-dollar prize money.

In the previous December 11, 2024 episode, six players competed to save themselves from a potential elimination. Out of the six contestants, only four made it to the finale, this meant cast members Andy Rueda and Genevieve Mushaluk were sent home.

In an exclusive conversation with Entertainment Weekly on December 16, 2024, Jeff Probst hinted that the two-hour finale episode would conclude season 6 as it will be "a real battle" in the Tribal Council. He further said:

"The finale of Survivor 47 offers a fantastic two-hour conclusion to a great season, including a dramatic fire-making showdown and a real battle at the final Tribal Council."

Survivor 47 episode 14, titled The Last Stand, is set to air exclusively on CBS on December 18, 2024. The episode synopsis reads:

"The stakes could not be higher at a crucial, muddy immunity challenge; castaways must spark a win or flame out at a fire-making showdown to earn their way to the final three; one castaway is crowned Sole Survivor and awarded the $1 million prize."

Survivor 47 host Jeff Probst discusses the series finale

In his interview, the Survivor season 47 host talked about the unpredictable format of the reality TV series. Jeff stated that the final four reached the last stage of the competition series due to their adaptability and enhancing their skill set in each challenge.

Jeff also shared how important the role of the jury is in deciding the sole winner for the CBS show as well as which contestant gets eliminated out of the four finalists. He said:

"At the start of the season, you would have never predicted this would be our final four because Survivor changes moment by moment, day by day, and only those who can adapt quickly will survive. Rachel, Sue, Sam, and Teeny have all encountered obstacles this season, but they’ve each done a great job of maneuvering their way out of trouble."

Probst evaluated the nature of the series and how different this season is from the previous ones. This time, the jury's decision is not just based on the player's game strategy, but also their overall performance, team efforts, and the "way they carried themselves." Survivor 47 host teased:

"What’s unique about juries in the new era is that they tend to consider the entire picture of a player’s game. Not just their moves in the game, but also the way they carried themselves at camp and if they contributed to the community at large."

The interview concluded with Jeff discussing the main part of the show he liked. He shared that the originality and the authenticity of an after-show is what makes the series more special.

Jeff said he was looking forward to having conversations with the final three contestants.

Don't forget to stream the Survivor 47 finale episode exclusively on CBS on December 18, 2024.
