Selling Sunset season 8 episode 5 titled Once Alanna Time in the West was released on Netflix on September 6, 2024. Season 8 reunited cast members Chelsea and Chrishell Stause as they discussed what Bre had disclosed in episode 5.
At the beginning of the episode, Bre met Chelsea Lazkani over dinner and informed her that her husband Jeff was seen "making out in the lobby" with someone as per an authentic source, Amanza.
Lazkani was upset and upon hearing this news went to Stause to open up about her situation. Referring to the relationship problems she faced, the Selling Sunset cast member said that her career choice was one of the main reasons she felt hurt. Lazkani reflected on the "disconnect" she could sense with her husband and that her "choice of career" wasn't supported by him.

During her confessional interview, Chelsea said:
"The one thing that has really broken my marriage more than anything is my choice of career that my partner doesn't support very vocally. And that was the biggest pain point in my marriage over the last two years. It was just too much for him."

Selling Sunset star Chelsea shares the real reason why she felt hurt in her relationship
In Selling Sunset season 8 episode 5, Chelsea shared that she had not spoken with her husband about his infidelity yet as she was still processing the information Bre gave her. Chelsea told the cameras that canceling the plan for the girls' trip last minute wasn't because she wanted to "take away" from what Alanna had planned but because she wanted to be away from everyone else. She added:
"I didn't want to take away from what Alanna had planned. So, I decided not to go to Pioneertown because I wasn't in the right frame of mind to be around anyone other than Chrishell."
In a conversation with Stause, Lazkani expressed her feelings by saying:
"Despite the way it looks, it's really hard. Everything else, like my personal life, like shambles."
Chelsea also mentioned that her partner implied that she didn't spend much time with the family due to her work obligations and that she used to "hustle for fun." These statements were hurtful to Lazkani who loved being a mom and also liked to excel in her career and work towards establishing her name in the real estate industry. The Selling Sunset star continued to say:
"There's been tiny disconnects I've noticed. Jeff's so family-oriented and that's part of the reason I fell in love with him. Because the one thing that I pride myself on, the one thing I love most is like, being a mom."
With the relationship problems and the cheating scandal, Chelsea was in a "vulnerable state" and tried to figure out what her next step was. Stause consoled her and advised her not to hold back her feelings. Chrishell also encouraged her friend to let out her feelings and take some time away.
