Too Hot To Handle, Netflix's famous dating reality show, has released the final episodes of season 6 on August 2, 2024. The season saw various couples pair up, break up, and form new pairings in a rollercoaster of a ride throughout. The final prize of $125,000 was eventually won by Bri and Demari, who won against Charlie and Katherine.

Charlie and Katherine made a strong connection by the finale's end, but in the first episode of Too Hot To Handle, Charlie preferred another female participant over Katherine, Lucy. Charlie eventually left Lucy and paired up with Katherine again after he felt no spark with the former. Lucy had been single ever since and decided to not form an intimate connection with anyone else.

In the finale, Brenden Durell took the final workshop, which focused on the growth of each individual who lived in the retreat. Each individual took turns and shared their views on their journey, the struggles, and eventual growth in their character.

Lucy, during her turn, was thankful to Charlie for being there for her during the start of Too Hot To Handle and how their breakup made her grow as a person.

"And I'm actually really grateful to you, Charlie because I think me doing this journey then as a single girl in the retreat really made me learn about myself. And be uncomfortable for a bit, but actually learn to love being by myself," said Lucy.

What happened between Charlie and Lucy before the finale of Too Hot To Handle season 6?

When season 6 of Too Hot To Handle premiered, Charlie stirred up the retreat as he kissed multiple women on the very first day. Lana, the AI assistant of the retreat, banished Charlie to the quarters along with Bri for breaking the rules.

After spending 24 hours alone, Charlie seemed to have sorted his feelings towards Lucy. He eventually won her heart after coming back to the retreat by confessing his feelings to her and convincing her that she was the only woman for him.

In episode 5, "Demari's Demise," Charlie seemed to hint that he wasn't satisfied with Lucy, as she didn't seem to want him physically. Lucy, on her part, was adamant to not break the rules further and focus on connecting emotionally with Charlie.

In a workshop that took place the same day, Charlie was paired up with Katherine and told her that he wanted to kiss her. Katherine was also confused about the predicament as she was then paired up with Louis. Charlie and Katherine eventually broke up with their partners at the time and paired up together.

In an interview after the retreat, Charlie explained his side of the story and claimed he felt less interested in Lucy as time went on as Katherine and he spent more time together off camera.

“It’s really difficult to pinpoint one specific instance where I was like, ‘Oh no, it’s Kat I want and not Lucy.’ I think there’s obviously a lot of stuff that isn’t shown and isn’t seen,” expressed Charlie.

After the workshop, Lucy seemed to have come out of the love triangle that formed between herself, Charlie, and Katherine as a person who experienced loss and grew as a person because of it.

"There is no growth without pain, but the heartbreak has taught me to be vulnerable. And I'm so brave now," said Lucy in a confessional.

Lucy opted to not form any further connection with any other participant in Too Hot To Handle and ended the finale being single and ready for dating in the real world.
