Rhythm + Flow Brazil, the Brazilian version of the rap competition, premiered on Netflix on November 12, with the first four episodes released. These episodes introduced the contestants and their battles for the R$500,000 prize. In episode 2, titled 3,2,1...Flow!, rap legends Dexter and Iza Sabino assisted judges Djonga and twins Tasha and Tracie in selecting rappers for the next round while sending others home.

Rui'f, RT Mallone, and Mayronzzz joined the rappers selected in the previous episodes to proceed to the next round. Going forward in the episode, the rappers were paired to go against one another and battle it out.

Afrodite BXD and Maria Preta’s battle on episode 2 of Rhythm + Flow Brazil

The rap battles segment of the show on Rhythm + Flow Brazil was hosted by the hip-hop legend Kamau. He kept the spirits up as the pairs one after the other stepped into the ring to be judged for their skills by Djongo, Filipe Ret, and twin sisters Tasha and Tracie. Azzy and Bob 13 also joined as hosts to the competition.

The contestants to go on the final battle on episode 2 of Rhythm + Flow Brazil were Afrodite BXD and Maria Preta. Before stepping into the battle ring, Maria Preta said in a confessional that the worst thing to happen in a battle is when it doesn't go as one planned it and things get misinterpreted. While Afrodite added:

"I don't have much experience with battles, but I can freestyle, I have the rhythm, I know the vibe. I'll put my own spin on it. It's all good."

It was Afrodite's turn first to go after Maria and she did so with energy, gazing firmly into her opponent's eyes as she rapped about her shortcomings. Maria gave an apt comeback to this by rapping fiercely fast. Their rap was so good that the audience asked for another round of battle from them.

This time around, Maria went first and got a loud applause, and so did Afrodite as soon as she finished her verse. The two ended their battle with a hug making Azzy, Bob 13, and some of the judges emotional. Tasha called their performance the best of the night, while Tracie thought it was moving. Filipe said:

"This is exactly what we're looking for. This is why we're here. I feel the energy flowing."

Djonga said it was a tough decision as he said they knew no matter who they chose that day, there was going to be a loss. So they had decided based on the smallest of details. Here, the episode was cut keeping the viewers on a cliffhanger to find out who won in episode 3.

Other contestants who won the battle round and the ones who were sent home on episode 2 of Rhythm + Flow Brazil

In the battle between Guiu and Novak, the latter took the win because Guiu's freestyling skills weren't upto the mark while Novak said he was used to it. Between RT and Mallone and Mayronzzz, the judges decided to choose RT because they thought he had more attitude and was confident. RT even got emotional and cried happy tears when he won because he couldn't believe it.

Next up was OGCapitu versus Ras. This duo was also asked to battle twice because the judges wanted them to bring in more energy and give a second chance to OGCapitu who forgot her rhymes. With her performance, OGCapitu brought tears to Djanga's eyes which is why he urged the other judges to keep her and they agreed.

The final 2 episodes of Rhythm + Flow Brazil will be released on November 19, on Netflix.
