Rhythm + Flow: Brazil will premiere on November 12 on Netflix (USA) and introduce 18 participants who will be competing for the crown of the rising star in the national rap scene.

Djonga, Filipe Ret, and sisters Tasha & Tracie will serve as the judges for Rhythm + Flow: Brazil. The show is filmed in the hometowns of the three judges, highlighting the locations that have played a significant role in shaping their careers.

The cast for the Brazilian musical reality show includes Afrodite BXD, Cafiero, COLD JAS, Fúria, Gabrelú, Guiu, Jump, Maju, Maria Preta, MayronZZZ, Muse Maya, Muxima, Novak, OGCapitu, Ras, RT Mallone, RUI'f, and VICKIVI.

Afrodite is an artist from Baixada Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro. Music helped her get through tough times and she began writing poetry. She started by composing her songs and currently, she writes for other artists as well.

Cafiero originates from Belo Horizonte, and his cast bio mentions that he "spent his childhood living with his grandmother," who was an influence on his musical evolution. His uncles introduced him to rap battles and he started writing rhymes at school. The Rhythm + Flow: Brazil contestant's main musical style is trap and dreams of making a living from music.

COLD JAS was originally born in Angola and later moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She had a calling for the culture of rap from an early age and pursued her passion after getting her Computer Engineering degree. She has some experience as an extra and has worked as an actress in the film Executive Order.

Fúria's The Rhythm + Flow: Brazil cast bio mentions that his real name is Fúria na Voz and he is from Jundiaí, São Paulo. Music like samba was always cherished by his family, a deep-rooted part of his upbringing. Later, he moved to São Paulo, eager to boost his career by competing in the city's top rap battles.

Gabrelú grew up in the countryside of São Paulo and initially dreamed of becoming an actor. As he studied performing arts and Cinema he discovered the music scene and started composing his own songs. He went on to release his debut album in 2023.

Guiu was born in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro, and has a knack for writing from an early age. He spent his teenage years initially writing poetry, however, his focus changed to rap when his cousin unexpectedly signed him up for a street battle. He lost his first battle and it ignited a fire in him to improve and emerge at the top of the rap scene.

Jump, originally from Rio de Janeiro, draws his stage name from his athletic background. While he initially dedicated himself to sports, especially the long jump, his passion for art remained strong. His talent for singing emerged in an evangelical church, and he eventually found his voice in rap battles.

Maju was born in the city of Mariana and currently lives in Ouro Preto. She was introduced to music by her father who who played guitar at home. The Rhythm + Flow: Brazil contestant started her first productions during the pandemic and now she makes a living from cultural incentive grants and organizing events in her city.

Maria Preta originates from the eastern zone of São Paulo, in Poá. After leaving home she dedicated herself to various cultural or artistic activities and explored new places until her daughter, Solara Madalena, was born. While she is not earning solely from music, she sees herself as a growing artist.

MayronZZZ is an artist from Paraisópolis, in the countryside of Minas Gerais. He discovered his love for rap and rhyming through the battles of Emicida and Rashid. Currently, he produces his own music in a home studio set up in his bedroom.


Muse Maya (@muse.maya)

Muse Maya, whose real name is Joana, hails from Maricá, a city located in the countryside of Rio de Janeiro. She started her music career when she moved to the capital at the age of 18 to study theater. The Rhythm + Flow: Brazil contestant takes inspiration from feelings and personal experiences and wants to be recognized for her talent.

Muxima also known as Gustavo Toledo is from Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. Due to his stuttering, he chose to focus on writing until he discovered rap battles and found his grove. His goal is to gain worldwide recognition and create influential music.

Novak was born and raised in Belo Horizonte. From an early age, he had an interest in hip-hop and participated in rap battles. The Rhythm + Flow: Brazil contestant started creating his own compositions and eventually gained recognition in Minas Gerais' music scene

OGCapitu is a trapper from Belo Horizonte. As per her The Rhythm + Flow cast bio "'OG' stands for 'original gostosa' ("original hot"), while 'Capitu' references the character from Machado de Assis." She has been in the rap scene for 7 years and her main goal is to produce her work with complete creative freedom.

Ras is from Piracicaba, a city in the countryside of São Paulo. Growing up in a family where music played a significant role, he developed a passion for rap at an early age. His ultimate goal is to make a living from his art and sustain himself through his music.

RT Mallone also known as Vitor is from Belo Horizonte. He has been rapping and has been participating in rap battles since 2012. The Rhythm + Flow: Brazil contestant has released three albums and has collaborated with Bivolt and Santi.

RUI'f was born in Brasilândia and now lives in Sacomã. Although music was always a part of his life, he never initially envisioned it as his lifelong pursuit. However, his passion for music grew stronger, and his career took off when a friend invited him to perform, drawing him deeper into the world of music.

VICKVI was born in Guarulhos, São Paulo. She found herself pursuing music during the peak of the pandemic. Taking inspiration from her brother and grandfather, the Rhythm + Flow: Brazil contestants have been pursuing rapping with dedication and passion.
