Contestants will collaborate with a major artist to showcase a featured song, and for the finale, they’ll team up with a prominent producer to create their final track.

What will happen in Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 8?

The top five will be announced

Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 8 will start with the results for the debut singles round. As per the final discussions by the judges, Yoshi Vintage and Tia P. have a greater probability of getting eliminated.

Yoshi struggled to deliver the performance she had envisioned during her debut single showcase, falling short of her potential. The disappointment was evident on everyone's face, including herself and the three judges.

Judge DJ Khaled said at the end of episode 7 that while he liked Yoshi Vintage and Tia P.'s songs, he felt that the other contestants were better.

Meanwhile, the trailer for episode 8 shows that Judge Latto is happy with the lineup that makes it to the top five. She says at the start of the trailer:

"This a hard-a** top five, boy!"

Collaboration with top R&B artists

The top five will then enter the collaboration round. In the trailer for Rhythm + Flow season 2 episode 8, DJ Khaled tells the contestants that each one of them will be paired with an R&B artist. The artists include Honey Bxby, Josh Levi, Lucky Daye, Mereba, and BJ The Chicago Kid.

Through the collaboration, contestants must create a featured song and ensure that they are the "best thing on the record." Each pair will perform their track in front of an audience, and only three contestants will advance to the final round.

"It's time to collaborate! Each of y'all will be paired with an R&B artist. You gonna be a feature. You gotta be the best thing on the record," DJ Khaled says in the episode 8 trailer.

The top three will collaborate with a "super producer"

Only three contestants would make it to the final round and it would be their "one last chance" to win $250,000. Judge Ludacris states in the trailer that the top three will be paired with a "super" producer and they would have to create an "epic song." These producers include 30 Roc, Bangladesh, Derrick Milano, and Hitmaka.

"Whoever makes it here is goin' on to the final... It is time for the last challenge. Each of you will be paired with a super producer to come up with an epic song," the Rhythm + Flow season 2 judge says.

Talking about the finale, DJ Khaled says in the trailer:

"This is where stars are born… and legends are made."

The judge later added that the final result would reveal the contestant who worked the hardest, put the right music out, and connected with fans.
