Love Island USA season 6 returned on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, with a new host— Vanderpump Rules star cast, Ariana Madix. With a new set of singles hunting for love, this dating show delivers drama, romance, and betrayal.
At the start of the show, a few participants connected immediately and displayed a strong bond thereon. However, as new 'bombshells' entered the Fijian villa, even the strongest relationships were tested.
Deemed one of the power couples, Rob and Leah's relationship worsened when 'bombshell' Andrea walked into the villa. She remained fixated on Rob, and to Leah's surprise, Rob did not hesitate to reciprocate. By the end of episode 8, Rob volunteered to be coupled up with Andrea, sparking debate among fans.

Love Island USA fans criticized Rob's actions on X, while sharing their sympathies for Leah. One fan called out his behavior, accusing him of blindsiding Leah.
"Rob is so useless. What does he mean he'll let Leah know if he decides to recouple with Andrea. SHAT UP #LoveIslandUSA," wrote a fan.
By the end of episode 8 of Love Island USA, when Andrea was given the chance to couple up with the man of her choice, she chose Rob and he agreed, which enraged the fans.

Andrea picked Rob for a date among the other cast members. On their date, Rob did not back down when he was offered a chance to kiss Andrea, and fans did not appreciate his move.

Love Island USA season 6: Why did Rob and Leah break up?
Rob and Leah's chemistry was known to be one of the strongest in the Love Island USA villa, not just by fans but also by the other cast members. However, their relationship faced a minor hiccup after the 'bombshell' Liv arrived and coupled up with Rob.
Rob was taken aback by Liv's decision and felt they had nothing in common. He was seen secretly meeting up with Leah, sharing kisses and reassuring her of his feelings. Once Liv discovered what was going on, she coupled up with another Love Island USA 'bombshell', Hakeem, while Rob returned to Leah. He confessed Leah felt like "home."
In episode 7, Andrea entered the Love Island USA villa and stirred up Rob and Leah's relationship. Host Ariana Madix challenged her, alongside new single Nicole, to kiss two men of their choice. One of Andrea's kisses was with Robert while the other was with Aaron. Leah expressed her discomfort regarding the situation but Rob appeared confused.
On his date with Andrea, Rob kissed her and hid the truth from Leah. When confronted by Leah, he confessed he felt that she did not let him express himself and often misunderstood him.
"I know what we have and I'm not just like ready to walk away from that at all, but, like, there's something there with her [Andrea] and I wanna figure it out. I think that's fair," Rob said.
Feeling blindsided by Rob's reassuring words, Leah accused him of lying to her. In episode 8, when allowed to explore his chance with Andrea, Rob volunteered, leaving Leah single in the villa.
