Kim Kardashian caused frenzy with post referencing Love Island
The ITV2 show, first started in the UK and garnered attention enough to have a USA version of it. That was because of the unique format of the show, which saw hopeful contestants trying to find love in the villa, as newcomers dubbed 'bombshells' would keep entering the villa throughout the season, distracting the couples and making new pairs.
Kim Kardashian called herself a "Bombshell", in the mentioned post, because the photo shoot was in an indoor setting, with a backdrop that looked like a luxury villa, similar to the villas of the popular show. The official Instagram account of the show commented on her post saying,
"All Stars is back in January 2025 if you fancy it Kim".
Fans flocked to reply to this comment and said that Kim referred to the USA version of the show in the caption, and not the primary UK version. The official Instagram account of the USA version of the show also jumped in to comment and wrote:
"We'd couple up with you any day".
Leah Kateb, a contestant on the recent season 6 of the USA version, also commented on the post saying:
"You did your big one with this Kim".
The fashion brand Roberto Cavalli also acknowledged the post by commenting three black heart emojis. Other comments on her post were filled with references from the show, as fans felt excited about this unexpected but popular crossover. The UK version's comment on the pictures was also a reminder of the new All-Stars season dropping in January 2025.
Love Island USA season 6 is available to stream on Peacock.
