Selling the City episode 6, A Marriage of Convenience, was released exclusively on Netflix on Friday, January 3, 2025. The episode synopsis reads as the following:

"Eleonora learns that one of her agents acted out of line. Abi airs her grievances. Taylor and her husband reconsider a life-changing question."

What happened on Selling the City episode 6?

On Selling the City episode 6, Abi told the cameras that The New York Times had published an article about the "Irving listing." She told Jordyn she expected to be a part of the interview, but Abi's name wasn't mentioned anywhere. Jordyn reassured her that Abi was not being left out on purpose and that she would have more upcoming opportunities to "plant" herself on the listing.

Toward the end of the episode, Abi had a conversation about her name not being mentioned in the press to Eleonora. Abi reflected on her journey in the real estate industry, mentioning how she had been working for the past four years and didn't have many connections like other agents.

According to the Selling the City cast member, this was an opportunity for her to introduce herself and step forward towards "making a name for herself" in the industry. Eleonora explained that due to Jordyn's links, she decided to assign her as the lead. She continued:

"Obviously, you know, I put Jordyn on the lead on this because she was the one who had the contact or the direct relation to the owner. I still want everyone to be included. This is a team effort, we should work together. I'm sorry you're feeling that way."

The Selling the City star said it was her decision to exclude Abi in the "initial press." She further elaborated on the importance of "privacy and discretion" that sellers want, hence it made the situation "sensitive." Eleonora continued:

"But the decision to not have you in the initial press was mine. So that's not on Jordyn. You know, this is a very sensitive situation. When you get a new listing, you usually want to invite a lot of press. This was not necessarily that."

Abi was satisfied that this situation was clarified and ended the conversation by reflecting on communication "being the key" to resolving issues. She mentioned that without context, it appeared to be something else. Eleonora appreciated Abi and said:

"You are on the listing front and center. I just felt more comfortable with me and Jordyn giving the actual interview because the team is so primed for people saying we're green, we're not ready."

The next episode will highlight a dramatic turn of events. Viewers can stream Selling the City episodes one to eight exclusively on Netflix.
