Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on Netflix and episode 9 was filled with listings, funeral drama, and conversations about childhood and parenting. The childhood talk took place between Chrishell Stause and Bre Tiesi.

While talking about how they were parented when they were kids, Chrishell opened up about her turbulent childhood and the harsh things she had to go through

Chrishell shared that when she was growing up, her parents dealt with addiction. It resulted in an irregular lifestyle for her and her family. At times, things were going great for them, while at other times, things were worse, and they had no stable roof overhead. She added that she would not parent her children the way she was parented. Chrishell said:

"When I was growing up, my parents... kind of went in and out of... different times of being addicted and not."

Selling Sunset star later said:

"When... they were trying to get everything back on the up and up, and do the right thing, we didn't have a stable roof overhead. We're squatting. My pillow smells like mold. Picking fleas out of my socks."

Selling Sunset stars Chrishell and Bre talked about parenting

On Selling Sunset season 8 episode 9, Chrishell and Bre talked about parenting kids while also talking about how they were parented as a child. Chrishell asked Bre if she would parent her son, Legendary, the way she was parented. Bre answered that she wouldn't.

Bre shared that she usually tries to parent her son the opposite and went on to talk about her mom and how she was parented. She revealed that her mom was very protective of her and usually didn't allow her to roam or play outside or have sleepovers at someone else's house. She added that how she was brought up was the reason why she always wanted to be left alone.

"I try to parent him the opposite. My mom was very like 'You're gonna get kidnapped.' And I could never go to sleepovers. I could never have play dates unless it was in my house. I couldn't even play outside. It was like that overbearing, crazy," Bre said about her childhood.

Bre Tiesi plans on renting or selling her old house

Chrishell Stause went over to Bre Tiesi's old house which just completed its re-modelling in Selling Sunset season 8 episode 9. Bre said that her team did most of the work on her house. There were broken floors, water damage on the walls, and external walls also had some work that needed to be done. Bre's team took care of all the major issues and she said that the place looks good and is "definitely rentable and sellable"

In her confessional, Bre shared that she had officially finished the remodeling of her house. She did everything that Jason and Romain suggested and also added a bit of her touch to it.

Bre said that she was not sure what she was going to do with the house. She had some plans about leasing the place. However, she said that she would put her old house up for lease and sale at the same time and decide after the offers she gets.

Chrishell Stause did not come empty-handed to meet the two. She brought a mini drumset for Bre's son Legendarary. While Bre liked her gift she had some issues with the drum set. Bre said that any parent knows that they don't want their kids to have toys that make any noise. Selling Sunset star added that bringing a drum set as a gift showed that Chrishell was not a mom.

"I love Chrishell, but she's really showing she is not a mom by buying a drum set, because any parent knows you don't want any toys that make any noise. As much as I'd love to embrace his musical creativity, he doesn't need a drum set," Bre said.

Selling Sunset season 8 was released on Netflix on September 6, 2024.
